What are the fees like for Serena greenhouse's primary school science?

I would not recommend Serena Greenhouse for primary school science. She is very intimidating to weaker pupils and does not creates any fun during lesson but in fact, builds fear in the student. There is not much Science experiment and her style is very much \"drilling\". My DD cried after her worksheet was flashed on the projector for everyone to see her mistakes and she felt very demoralised thereafter. I feel that Serena's way of teaching is not right. She is embarrassing my DD in front of the entire class and this is seriously not what a teacher should do.

Maybe you can try this centre, the Schooling Society. Many parents have been talking about the Chinese materials at this centre, suppose to be very popular and professional.

Is your child taking Chinese in TSS now? I heard they just started in Oct 2017, not sure how good they are as compared to TLL as the fees are quite close. thank you.

I managed to secure the last seat for a 3 days Maths workshop for my child from 15-17 June from 10-3pm. The workshop will be teaching the following:

Whole Numbers
Ratio Fractions
Percentage
Understanding of important concepts
Problem Solving Strategies
Avoid careless mistakes
Circles and Speed

However, my child has a last minute supplementary class in school and could not attend.

I am glad to hear the very positive feedback from the parents, about the teacher I recommended in forum 2 month ago. In fact, most students made good progress even in less than 2 months! More importantly, kids show more interest in Chinese, and no longer scare of Chinese class.


Just understood from the teacher, according to the students feedback, almost all her students making good progress in the recent SA1, average improved 10 marks when convert the full mark to 100. 2 students attend her session since Jan,2014, even got 20+ more marks as compared to end of last year. Of course, if your DD already 1 of the top students in class/school, they just have to maintain their position.

Congrats to the kids and parents! Good teacher really makes the difference!

Hi, my DD was in Busybee since P3, pure compo class. Initially I feel there is some process on her compo. However, starting this year, I find that her compo writing is getting worst. In fact she failed twice in school when she can pass in Busybee lesson. I tried to ask her BB teacher which area she is weak at but he is not very helpful, just give general comments. I thought of emailing him my DD’s compo to him but he said not convenient to pass to me and ask me to email to school instead. When I go to the counter, the lady said the school don’t give email to the public. It was really very unhelpful of them. This was the second time that I find this centre very unhelpful. The first encounter was last year when my DD worksheet was taken by her partner. I asked for another copy and they refused to give me, I ask to borrow their copier to photocopy from her friend’s worksheet and they rejected too. They said it was my DD’s fault to misplace it. Two weeks later, the teacher managed to find the worksheet for my DD. I was so mad cos my DD can’t learn her spelling as she didn’t have the list. I saw one father quarreling with the counter people as well. I think I will quit my DD soon.

Hi GLORYmum, apprepriate your update in Rulang top T-score. It should be 272, not 268. Not sure where you get the wrong infor from. This info is from my friend's child who is a friend of the the top scorer.
