      Nickal:
      Hi, any help would be appreciated. Tks in advance!

      Mrs Lopez spent $186 on some chicken, mutton and beef pies. The amount
      spent on chicken and mutton pies was in the ratio 20:9. The amount spent on
      chicken and beef pies was in the ratio 8:7. The number of mutton pies was 2/5 the
      number of chicken pies. The number of beef pies was—7/10 the number of chicken
      pies. The chicken pies were sold at 5 for $8.

      (a)How many pies did Mrs Lopez buy altogether?
      (b)How much did each mutton pie cost?

      C:M ----> 20:9
      C:B -----> 8:7

      C:M:B ----> 40:18:35

      Amount spent on each:

      C = 40/93 x 186
      = $80
      M = 18/93 x 186
      = $36
      B = 35/93 x 186
      = $70

      To find the number of 😄
      5 for $8
      So 10 grp of 8 make $80, total no of chicken pie = 50

      No. of Mutton pies : 2/5 x 50 = 20
      No. of Beef pies : 7/10 x 50 = 35

      Total no. of pies = 105

      Price of each mutton pie = 36/20
      = $1.80

      Ken was climbing a flight of stairs. While standing on a step, Ken realised that there were twice as many as steps above the step he was on, as there were below him. After ascending 8 more steps, he noticed that there were as many steps below him as there were above him. How many steps were there in the flight of stairs?

      Hi

      Can help to solve the following.

      Doris and Jane have some carnival tickets. If Doris sells 10 tickets per day and Jane sells 5 tickets per day. Doris will have 40 tickets left when Jane has sold all her tickets. If Doris sells 5 tickets per day and Jane sells 10 tickets per day. Doris will have 70 tickets left when Jane has sold all her tickets.

      a. How many tickets does Doris have?

      b. If each ticket is sold for $20, how much money can be collected from the sale of all their tickets?
