oh! ooh! You may have been mistaken!

During the P1 registration, we have 3 options.
1st option GEP School, under 2a, but very long transporting time – school bus!
2nd option SAP School, under 2a, long transporting time – school bus!
3rd option Compassvale Primary School, under 2c, walking 5 minutes or less to school!

We took the 3rd option. Most of our friends and relatives felt that we had wasted the opportunity! The school had given us some surprise; DD is also like the school.

How is your kid? Do you like the school?

We had no regret to send DD to Compassvale Primary School although we were under 2a in two different schools, one was a GEP school and another one was SAP school.

DD’s school P1 CL will start to stream in at the end of term 2, the top 25% in CL will be selected to the HCL class (based on the CL ability), there will be another streaming at the end of the year, those whose results fall below the cut off point will be transferred back to CL class, those who obtain good results in CL will be promoted to HCL class. The HOD will be the P2 HCL class teacher. The CL and HCL are using different textbooks. The P2 HCL class will learn more than CL class (more difficult), the HCL class 默写 mòxiě – sentences are about 2 to 3 times more than CL class. Some P1 kids are able to write the P3 zuowen.

this Chinese paper is the last one for Term 1. She worked too hard to prepare for her English and Math papers and now has fallen sick for this Chinese paper. Her Chinese paper will be MCQ comprehension instead of open-ended questions. A consolation for me.

It dawned on me that I have to use the March school holiday to brush up the 1A Han Yu Pin Yin. She has forgotten them. :yikes:

Luckily there's still so many years away from PSLE to brush up the HYPY.

This one week March holiday (16 march to 22 march) : plan to retrieve P1 list of commonly used / frequently encountered words from \"我 会 读 , 我 会 写\", give her tingxie at home, help her refresh her memory of basic, P1 words.

han yu pin yin : she got confused with those tricky words that sound alike like zi, zhi, ci, chi, si, shi,
Chinese Paper 1 (zuo wen) : headache !
Paper 2 : can pass.

btw, my P3 friends said P2 Term 2 very fast
if possible, try to let your child practise some P2 Term tests papers, during this March school holiday.

DD is also weak in HYPY. She had lost some marks in HYPY last year. This year her Chinese teacher (HOD) wants her to do more practices on HYPY!
