- teachers: because I did not check my kids' diary to ensure they finish all their task / homework.
- other parents: because I did not remind the kids of their test/ exams or send them for tuitions.
- colleagues: because I refuse to pack up the kids' room and fold up / put away their clothes after they have been washed or ironed.
- SIL: because I dun believe of buying presents on my kids' behalf for their friend's parties. \"Your friend invite you, you settle your own gifts. They usually make cards, trinkets or give away what they deem as precious to them.

Hi, yes I tried almost all the school n Punggol except waterway primary school because it's abit off the way. Only oasis called me up, but still confirming vacancy with the principle. Student care is also full, really quite a big problem to transfer

You may want to approach the schools' prinicpals again in May before the term break. In addition, do prepare the school based student care may not have any vacanies, try searching student care centres nearby the school as standby.

Hi all, new here and wanted to check with members here. I'm moving to Punggol by July or August this year. Daughter currently at da Qiao primary school studying primary 1. Went to 6 schools near Punggol and got not much of progress, all of the primary schools said that I would need to put my Daughter on waiting list. Any way to speak to the principal or do anything? Because the school she is currently in is very far from my new house. Hope somebody here can advice. Thanks!

There are currently 7 primary schools in punggol including two new ones start this year. You may want to try your luck on the two new ones or a few ones in sengkang.

How do we apply for Edusave Scholarship Award?

You don't need to apply. Your child automatically gets it if he/she is in the top 10% of the school cohort in that particular academic year. This info is automatically channeled to MOE by the school n letter of notification will be sent out to parents in December. This award is given to all deserving students regardless of income bracket.

For Edusave Merit Bursary which is awarded to the next 25% of the school cohort, there is a income bracket requirement and you need to apply if your income falls into the bracket stipulated by MOE.

These awards are only applied for Singaporea children.

DHS this year COP is pretty high at 258...comparable to NJC, RI and HCI....well done...no wonder they are among the top 5 JC in Singapore. However, comparing to RV...it COP has been at the lowest rung for quite few years now...is it because of it location or other reason?


Seem like the new IP JC will have a tough time catching up with the top 5 if their COP dont improve. There is definitely a co-relationship between the COP and A Level performance.

It is partly due to the school has cut down the vacancy from 400 to 360 for this cohort, that's what the prinicipal mentioned during the open house and 50% had been taken up by DSA.
