      Can someone please help to solve this problem using model drawing :-


      Joyce had a total of 586 muffins and pies. There were 66 more muffins than pies. After selling 226 muffins and buying some more pies, then she had 4 times as many pies as muffins. How many pies did Mrs Lim buy ?

      A baker had 400 chocolate muffins and 800 blueberry muffins. 1/5 of all the muffins turned bad. The baker sold 160 chocolate muffins and 300 blueberry muffins. If he had 240 fewer chocolate muffins than blueberry muffins,
      (a) What fraction of all the muffins were sold ?
      (Give your answer in the simplest form)
      (b) how many chocolate muffins turned bad ?

      Mr Lim’s monthly salary was $300 more than Mrs Lim’s monthly salary. Every month, each of them spent $1400 and saved the rest of the money. After some months, Mr Lim saved $16,250 and Mrs Lim only saved $8,750.

      (a) How many months did Mr Lim take to save $16,250 ?
      (b) What were their total monthly salaries ?

      At Joy Station, 381 passengers entered the MRT train and 281 passengers got off. At Hope Station, 483 passengers entered and 590 passengers got off. At Peace Station, all 675 passengers got off the train. How many passengers were on the train before it reached Joy Station ?

      Can someone please advise which is the best / shortest way to solve the following questions :-


      Q1. Gillian has three ropes measuring 54 cm, 108 cm and 189 cm. She cuts them all into equal pieces. The length of each piece is the longest possible she can cut.
      (a) What is the length of each piece of rope ?
      (b) How many pieces of rope does Gillian get ?

      Q2. Mei Mei and her mother returned from shopping with 14 packages.They parked the car at the car park which is 120 m away from their house. Then they made several trips to bring the packages home. Mei Mei's mother could carry 3 packages at a time and Mei Mei could carry 2. Given that they always walked together and the least possible number of trips was made, find the total distance covered by both of them.
