Now I’m confused. Schools like NJC and TJC didn’t come out when I ticked for IP. But it came out as concert band without IP. I thought these schools only offer IP? The only school that came out when I ticked IP is SCGS. Please enlighten me, first time applying for DSA.

Both NJC and TJC are Co-Ed, when you search the moe website, the selection limited to only Concert Band -Girls (IP) or Concert Band - Boys (IP), but not for \"Concert Band - Boys & Girls (IP)\"

For us, from time of application we already kept talking about adjusting expectations and managing disappointment.
What if don't get any CO? What's next? So what should we continue to do to ensure that even if we lose the DSA game, we won't lose the PSLE game?

So we told him immediately once we could. There was no need to withhold information from him.
Yes there was 1 disappointment but it wasn't his first choice, so it was bruised ego more than disappointment for him.

Anyway, we are still working hard on PSLE together even though he has gotten the CO he wants.
Doing your best consistently all the time is more important, be it safety net is there or not.

Totally Agree. I still remembered my DD screaming happily the moment I told her that she got verbal offer. It is the school that she wants.
After that she is back to study mode and diligently do her schoolworks and revising.
She still very sad and moody when she thought she was not doing well for her Prelim.

This is DSA school submission preference. Hence you can only submit your choices which is CO and WL.
If you want RGS, then you have to consider giving up your CO and using academic result to go in.

This has been one roller coaster ride for us. We have got all 3, rejection, WL & CO. The WL is my girl's 1st choice but now she is having 2nd thought to exercise it as she said she feels like she's not good enough and is a back up. She is now in a dilemma if she wants to exercise her WL or just accept the CO.

Yesterday we received a rejection letter from 1 school, which we are quite confident of receiving the CO. Fortunately for us, the rejection came from her 2nd choice. There is no \"happy problem\" for us. Although it is a second choice, but somehow see the rejection email feel a bit....sad and make me thinking what went wrong? We went through everything and feels good.
Thinking from the other side, received rejection letter means no regret on choosing the other school over this in future And it makes us more appreciate to the school that give us a CO.

Gd morning all, not sure if anyone asked this before: For instance, during the School Submission Preference, if my DD wants to put RGS as 1st choice (which she didn't apply DSA to), and NYGH (which she got CO) as 2nd, is this ok? If eventually her AL cannot meet RGS cutoff, will NYGH still accept her? Thanks!

Do you mean School Submission Preference after PSLE result (S1 posting)?

There will be a DSA School submission preference on 23 to 27 Oct. For this one, you will not be able to submit RGS, since you did not have the offer. You can only submit NYGH as 1st choice or 2nd choice if you have other CO, or choose not to submit at all which means your DSA offer will lapse, and you will receive S1 posting form together with the PSLE result.

If you choose to exercise your NYGH CO or other school CO, you will not be able to participate in S1 posting, means you can't go for RGS.
