      wow, last post in 2011.

      Any KSP's DS / DD going S1 in 2015?

I think, like the above parent, it is going to be like throwing a needle into the sea and get a reply 3.5 years later in 2017. :rotflmao:

NUS, NTU, SMU are still publishing the latest 10 percentile and 90 percentile of 2016 intake for the 2017 batch application.

      http://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/singapore/nus-smu-ntu-refining/2810272.html

But based on the above URL, NUS, NTU, SMU should publish 15 percentile and 90 percentile for more accurate reference.

By the way, any kind soul here know how to mathematically estimate from the 10% - 90% Grades to extrapolate to 15% - 90% Grades.

      @BigDevil & also atrecord

Pls do note that Wireless Router’s User Menu is Manufacturer specific and not Service Provider specific.

I have used a few different brand of routers before and the User Menu is totally different and different manufacturer may even name the same function with different name.

Even said don't have any contact details, and via google found it only has overseas offices.

First, identify your router's make and model, google for the make and model's manufacturer's website for the manual to follow the step by step procedure how to do so.
      ...

      Thanks! This is certainly helpful.

The model however, is quite new and so far can't find any manual. Even asking SingTel yielded little, and the manufacturer doesn't even have an office here in SGP...

Maybe I'll try out and play around. SingTel did guide me on how to go into the router setting using the IP address. Just need to figure out whether the model can restrict timing for access. I know Windows can.[/quote]I have mentioned google ... website, not ask you to call local support of Manufacturer (no local rep as you have said).

You can send them a request for an operating manual via this URL

    • RE: Can configure wireless router to restrict wifi access?

Most routers, if not all, can be configure to restrict certain device to access the internet at a specified time.

First, identify your router’s make and model, google for the make and model’s manufacturer’s website for the manual to follow the step by step procedure how to do so.

Each router has it’s own unique IP address to get into, from browser, the screen which has the Username and Password to login into the device control software.

Under parental control (different device may call it differently), there should be pages which you can specified the MAC Address (unique ID) of the device you want to control, add it to the list you want to control and key/click in the time which it can access or cannot access.

How to know the MAC Address of the device, well, some device itself has it in their device’s menu (search for it) or you can use the router you have to search who (MAC address) is using the router (only if it’s the only device is currently using the router)

The above can only be done from home via Wi-Fi.

In sec sch, sometimes last minute your kid may need to access internet during locked time and if you are not home, you cannot unlock for them. Well, if your service provider has fixed IP address, type the IP address from your mobile browser, you can do the same from outside home, if you know how to configure the router to be the subnet of your service provider’s IP address. But if your service provider does not have fixed address, you have to use Dynamic IP addressing to do it from outside home (this is too complicated to explain here). This is more advanced technique which is quite hard to teach here.

Good luck and have fun (with your kids) playing with your router, you will learn by trying it out. You can also hook onto a CCTV to the router which you can view your home from outside home.

Done last year for http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=82225, thought there is no change after 1 year, but realised there are some minor movement so decided to put this update of 2015 Uni COP reference for 2015 A Levels to 2016 Uni.

There is already someone who did this on internet for this year if you search harder.

The NUS, NTU, SMU URL are also provided, so you may countercheck.

      PTLMum:
      Dear JonC

Can give me your tutor's contact? But I stay in the east, not sure whether suitable. My DS will enter VJC next year and he wants to do Physics and Chem at H2 and his chem is quite weak. He is now year 4 at VS.
Err... East which part and are you looking for a 1 to 1 or for group?

And ah ha, Physics tutor look no further, this tutor advertised here aggressively in this forum, you can see his advertisement here everywhere. I think ChiefKiasu collected a lot of advertisement $ from him too. Hope won't charge me for making additional advertising here. 😄

This one man show Physics tutor is in the newspaper before, the annual million $ income (which caught my eyes ) tutor teaching only Physics at Bishan. Big group tuition, but if your DS likes (my DS likes) his way of teaching, I guess your DS's Physics highly likely to get an A1 at S4. I regretted that DS only started with him from JC1, so his Physics struggled a little bit in Secondary School. I think under this tutoring, my DS did pretty decent last year JC1 mid year and promo for his Physics, considering that really many failed both. My DS's Secondary schoolmate is with him since S3, it's A1 (Sec) and A (JC, not just A, it's strong A) all the way.

I will PM you the Chem O Level tutor, he does 1 to 1, he ever go Tampines for tuition before.
