Cambridge University: All lectures to be online-only until summer of 2021

Something to think about in case other universities decide to take the same route.

hello! sorry to digress from the current topic. not to brag, but my DD has gotten offers for medicine from Cambridge and NTU LKC. currently in the process of choosing between the two! if anyone has any information that may aid the decision making please do let me know! all the best to all your kids 🙂
If I were in your shoes, I would choose Cambridge over LKC. Although I do know of people who've chosen YLL over offers from Cambridge, Imperial and UCL.

If Nus first choice =medicine, second choice = Law.
Will first Nus call us up for both interviews, and then decide which course to offer ?
Or after 1st medicine interviewed, university found that not suitable, then only will go to process the second choice for us ?
Or if after the 1st choice medicine interview, and university do not ask for Law interview, will it means we will be offered the 1st choice ?
Medicine and Law will conduct their respective interviews independent of each other. So if you qualify, you will attend both interviews. After the interviews, if you get an offer from Medicine (your first choice), that is what you will see on the offer platform. If you see an offer from Law (despite putting Medicine as first choice), it means you have been rejected by Medicine.

Hi, one of my daughter’s fren asked me this qn, though I am even more clueless than her.
She has 90rp, took 3H2 (ChemEconMaths), 3H1 (PhyGpPw), can she apply for Med?
I read online ystd that Med reqm is 2H2 Sci, one must be Chem, the other must be Bio/Phy.
I can’t remember exactly, but I seem to recall Med’s reqm was only H2 Chem.
Another friend with 90rp, 3H2 (ChemEconMaths), 3H1 (BioGpPw) is also keen to apply.
Shld they go on ABAS for better chances?

Just to add, one of them called admissions and they said ppl with 1H2 Chem and 1H1 other Sci have got into Med before

      From the YLL admissions website:

      GCE ‘A’ Levels
A good H2 pass in Chemistry and H2 pass in either Biology or Physics of the best four content subjects (i.e. three H2 and one H1 content subjects) used in the computation of the University Admission Score, at least one content subject (either H2 or H1) must be from a contrasting discipline.

I’ve seen a foreign student (a German student actually) doing internship in SGH & doc said she was an exchange student. Guess they can either apply for home-country internships or be allowed to intern in SG if they serve some years in Spore?
Overseas internships are quite common. No need to serve any bonds.

for international medical students do they do their housemanship in Singapore or in UK?
By international med students, I assume you mean Singapore students studying medicine overseas? Usually if they intend to practise in Singapore, they do their housemanship in Singapore. But you can do it in UK as well.
