It is still being offered to Science stream and Commerce stream students at Millennia Institute:

Why is it that JCs don’t offer Accounting subject anymore?

RE: O Level Child: At my Wits end, need advise
Now it’s my turn to seek advice. I am now reading this post. Hope it can shed some light and hope to me.
It’s now mid year and next Monday is MT O level. it’s only now that the school report book showed alarming results. Previously, her form teacher even said that my DD could go JC, Poly, and wherever she would go eventually, she would succeed. this time, I saw F9 for her English and C5 for her mother tongue. C6 or D7 for her combined humanities.
all these years, I have trusted her to be mature. Her maturity and initiative have always been my pride. Even though she loved her phone games, I told her to reduce and set a limit. told her to do time management and quickly flip through what has been taught that day in school. I told her all these like an adult - "I trust you." "You know what to do." "You know what I mean". But she did none of those that I told her, especially in recent months. I questioned her how many hours she spent on her games. she said she didn’t keep track. Didn’t keep track - obviously - she spent many hours and not controlled her timing.
I am now very angry at the situation. I no longer know how to talk to her. I lectured her in the car, after PTM. I don’t mean to not talk to her because I am fully aware that ignoring own child is the worst thing to do to the child. But I really dunno how to face this reality. I cannot believe I have done everything wrong all these while. I dunno how to face this. Yesterday, after sending her home, I went out for several hours. Not to chill myself. But more like I want to run away from this. I am not a person running away like this. I also dun like to scold or quarrel. When there is a problem, we go straight working the solution. That’s my philosophy. But now, I cannot face this. I cannot talk about it. I wish I could find someone to blame - cuz people who do that tend to have an easier way out. But I cannot even do any of this.
Maybe I should see a therapist myself. -

RE: Secondary School Literature
Hi
I managed to find some annotation for the literature text \"Something Old. Something New. Something Borrowed\" from this blog by a literature tutor. https://teacher-jo.com/english-literature-resources/
She also has some notes for other literature text.
I also bought a set of literature notes from this seller that I found on carousell. https://www.carousell.sg/u/gradeplus/ -
RE: Secondary School Literature
Hi
I wonder whether there is anyone who can share with me the exam questions for the literature text “Something old. Something new….”
My sec 2 kid is not doing well. I want to go thru with her myself as I reckon all good & experienced literature tutors are fully booked for the rest of the year by now.
Thank you. -

Hi Chief
Not sure if this can help. When he was in Secondary school, my son's grades were atrocious. I was at my wits ends but I remembered someone who was with MindChamps when it started, and she told me to send him to her on the excuse of helping him with literature, once a week. It was expensive, but she was very good and I think the weekly sessions helped him a lot as he did quite well in his o levels for all his subjects and is currently doing his 2nd year in university. It's been a while, but I can hook you up with her if you are interested.
Can I have the contact please?
Thank you. -

I was told it's important for students to be able to answer the history exam type of questions because in Sec 3 and 4 they will be taking Social Studies which will have the similar type of questions. Need one humanity subject for O levels' L1R4 or L1R5. ie if the kid going to Poly or JC next time.Jworld\" post_id=\"2045230\" time=\"1636211036\" user_id=\"35780:
I actually have the same question as well. As the kids take 3 humanities, I often wonder if doing badly in 1 of them (history) is okay? Any expert advice? Thanks.[/quote]Is it necessary to have tuition in History? My kid is getting 50-60 / 100. She's going Sec 2 next year.
I am not sure how impt is to have history tuition. She already has a lot of schoolworks. -
