thank a lot. Then RI offer Eular class for Math talent and Galileo for science talent from Year 1 and could be both enrolled if qualified. It sounds more solid.
There are science olympiad classes and Math pull out classes for these students in HCI in Sec 1 and 2. The Math pull out classes are during curriculum time, which means other students are having normal math lessons while the pull out students leave the classroom to attend more advanced math.

      Hi,Song22,

πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚ My DS says he is honoured to be offer a place by HCI so he gladly accepted it. πŸ˜„ Can tell he likes HCI very much, He didn;t \"follow\" his best friends.

Just hope he can cope well. πŸ˜„

BTW.,do they need to get Laptops next year? Just wondering.

Not compulsory. ds has some presentations to do but they can be borrowed. he doesn't need a personal one.:)

For sec 1s, the 2 classes will be on Monday and Tuesday respectively. Aphelion and Proed on Monday, Ispark and Ortus on Tuesday (supposedly) However, transfers may be made if ur ds has cca on either days. Time is 2.20pm to 5.30pm, with a short break. Teacher should be the same.
Thank you for the info! much appreciated.

      Hi,
There are usually 2 classes for sec 1, with around 30 a class. But the class size reduces by half every year.
      Hope it answers your queries.

thank you! so the 2 classes are on the same day in the week or different days? if on different days, is it the same teacher? they are allocated the day or there is a choice?

    • RE: GEP 2015 - Screening & Selection

It's true about hpps gep trs and class size. the trs give each of them a lot of individual attention. my son didn't need any tuition or extra help because the trs are available for one-to-one consultation whenever he needed to clarify anything. he's weak in chinese, like several of his classmates. he had one-to-one help from his chi tr as well. All his trs keep in close communication with us parents too, really appreciate their efforts. ds1 indeed had a lot of opportunities to represent his school too. overall a really great experience, and we all love the school a lot now. best decision to pick hpps. πŸ™‚
