Hi, DS got total score 19. We are staying around Hougang/Sengkang area.

we are looking at Compassvale, SengKang, Northvista, Montfort, Yuying, Beatty & Pierce as part of the 6 choices. Distance and CCA are key consideration.

any kind souls can advise on the schools or choices please. All views are welcomed.

hello, my brother scored 238+2 +240 and i would like to ask for some advice about:

      1) If we were to risk for Anglican High School (241 last year) as first and put Zhong Hua (236 last yr) as second choice, what are the chances of him getting accepted by Zhonghua if Anglican High rejects him?

2)Does my brother stand a lower chance than those who scored higher than him but put AHS as second or third choice instead of first?

      3) In the situation that Anglican High rejects him, can we still appeal to get into the school?

      4) I would like to ask how the teachers are like in Zhonghua because we just moved to Serangoon and we're not very familiar with the schools here

Thank you for taking time to read and i would appreciate if any of yall are willing to help🙈
Your Qns 4. You may refer to this forum under \"Zhonghua Secondary School\". There are handful of similar questions.

My dd was determined to get into CCHM ever since attending open house 2017/2019. She was impressed with the vibrant environment, senior student engagement and etc.

She got 249 (+2) and posted successfully to CCHM via DSA.

I believed our children would do fairly well if they knows where they are heading to their eventual goal and are also equally capable to make certain judgement in their journey. Cheers.

**Pse PM me If there is a Sec1 2021 chat grp parents from all classes. Thank you.

      Well said.

My dd would also be graduating from HWS this year. She had grown and progress well thru'out her \"sprouting\" 6 years in the school. I have minimum or nil grouses during her primary school years.

      Cheers.

Hihi all parents who are interested in HWS in the year 2021,

Greetings, I am a parent of my DD who is in HW from year 2015 and she just graduated. Let me address a few things:

      1) The school culture

HWS has recently held its centennial celebration and it has a rich culture of 100 years. HW has been upholding the school chinese culture and providing the students there with bicultural programes, since P1 e.g. Chinese calligraphy
and the school also focuses on this 3 chinese phrase: 孝顺,好学,守礼. HWS inculcates this values from P1 to P6 which allows students to become fine adults and leaders of tomorrow. HW is also a SAP school and all students will have to

      2) The school environment

HWS has teachers and staff that are very friendly and welcoming. They oftenly look out for weaker students and help them in whatever ways they can be it stay backs to help students with their studies. HW also has morning talks with their form and co-form teachers, allowing the teachers to know more about their students. HW teachers are also well-trained to handle pupils with bad behaviour, culturing them to be a better student, so not to worry. Regarding bullies, HWS actually has really little bullies. Based on what my DD told me over the past 6 years, I find that HW is actually handled really well in terms of behaviour and chinese culture so do not worry as the teachers will handle them. HW is a condusive environment for most of the pupils there. Whenever they see a school staff no matter in public or in school, they greet with a bow.

I hope and wish your child the best in the Primary School Intake Exercise! :))

      Cheers! 🙂

My DD was upset when she came out earlier. She mentioned she cannot remember if she had write down her index number on the paper. She informed the invilgator (who collected her paper) but was told the chief examiner will check all paper when doing the total compilation.

Anyone has experience on the repercussion if the student did not write down the index number?

Hi everyone, my boy will be starting P1 in Hong Wen next year. Would love to know parents with p1 kids in 2021 too?
There would be orientation program in Nov/Dec and P1 Parent meetup session too. The HWS PSG is strong and you would be engaged actively I.e. P1 level groupchat, individual class grpchat etc.

Hi Kiddies, May I know if your answer is based on past experience with your own child?

I ask because I recall reading in MOE’s FAQ that someone scoring in the range 188-199 will be allocated “Express/Normal (Academic)” category.

And the FAQ also said that anyone in this category must indicate their choice (in the S1 Option form): either the Express stream or the N(A) stream. If no choice is indicated, the system automatically posts the child to the “academically more demanding” stream (ie. Express in this example).

      These are the various categories:

My two niece / nephew (DSA-ed) for Fairfield & ACSB. One 198 and the other 196. Both got into N(A) in their respective DSA-ed Sch.

I know there are many questions around this but I need to clarify as well. If my child has DSA for a school with Express, NA and NT. If she scores below 200 eg 190, does he get to choose to go to Express or its Automatically NA? Thanks!

Hi.. I am pretty new here and have a question to ask about DSA. It may sound stupid but... here goes...

what if i apply for DSA for a selected school and the cut off is 245 for express. She got accepted into the school under CCA DSA. let's say if my girl qualifies for express stream after her PSLE results but her aggregate is 220, will she be placed in the normal stream or express stream in that school? bearing in mind that her PSLE results slip indicates Express.

Thanking all of you in advance for any responses 🙂
      EXPRESS.
