Depends on what you intend to pursue at university. If it qualifies you for the course you want to pursue it's good enough.

Look at NUS course and the indicative grade profile, 90 percentile is AAA/A .and 10th percentile is also AAA/A. DD cannot choose Law, medicine and Dentistry.

Did your dd want to pursue law, medicine or dentistry to begin with? Those three courses have typically been the domain of straight A students with a few with Bs getting in. Quite a few other courses also have their 10th percentile at AAA/A, such as some engineering, computing and pharmacy.[/quote]DD not interested in Law, medicine and Dentistry. She is looking at Business Admin .

Back to the MOE JC scholarships, I presume that even if the results are only announced in July, they will reimburse the school fees from Jan? That's the main thing I want from the scholarship! The other money goes to my daughter (always assuming she gets the scholarship, of course.) I really wonder they need such a long time to decide.

DD received SMS from MOE to attend the interview coming Wed afternoon. Look like they are still conducting interview in June.

Wonder what question will be ask during the interview for MOE JC scholarship.

Today everyone thinks can wear their jc uniform. Who knows have to wear sec uniform.

Those JAE students' parents are very very happy. Imagine 5 yrs ago their kids could not qualify for RI and RGS, now the same cohort meet up again. St Nicks have abt 55 of them. The rest are from neighbourhood sec sch. Those are top students with 7 distinctions. Very impressive.
DD did not wear RI uniform today, still wearing St Nick Pinafore.

Didn't know there are 55 St Nicks girls joining yr 5. How many JAE student did RI take in this year? 300+??

How is the nett L1R5 calculated?

My DD got L1R5 of 6

      English:A1
      Chinese: A1
      Combined Humanities: A1
      A Maths : A1
      Maths : A1
      Geography: A1
      Physics: A1
      Chemistry: A2
      Higher Chinese: B3

      CCA Bonus Pts :2

      So the nett L1R5 is 6-2(CCA pts)-2(HCL) =2???
DD thinking of RI, VJC and HCI among her choice. Any chance for RI with nett L1R5?

Congrats. Nett L1R5 is 2. She won't have any problem entering RI or HC as COP for both JC Science is 3.

She still need to take Chinese in JC ?
