Can you please help me with this question.
My neighbours had not been to Geylang Serai before, They lost their way.

The Given Answer: Not been to Geylang Serai before, my neighbours lost their way.
My answer: NOt having been to Geylang Serai before, my neighbours lost their way.
May I know which is correct and why.

The teacher’s answer is ‘drink’
Can you please explain why it cannot be ‘drank’

Given ans: The patient would not get well unless he took his medicine regularly.
Can the answer be: The patient would not get well unless he takes his medicine regularly.
Please explain.

Answer: 1. My mum was so sad that she did not say anything.2. My mum was so sad that she could not say anything.3. My mum was so sad that she woould not say anything.
Which of these answers is correct and why?

I need help in these questions. Can somebody help me.
1. My mother said,\"I shall be leaving for Penang tomorrow.\"
Answer: My mother said that she would be leaving for Penang the next day. IS IT CORRECT
Why is this answer wrong - My mother said that she should be leaving for Penang the next day.
2. The race will be run today. The winner will receive a cup.
The winner of the race which will be run today will receive a cup. OR The winner of the race that will be run today will receive a cup. When should 'that' be used and when should 'which' be used.

Given answer: He told us not to smoke there.
When does the word ‘here’ change to ‘there’ and when does it not change.
Please help.
