Can someone help to advise me. I called the hokkien clan this morning and was told that I got recommended to be included in phase 2B. However, I need to wait for the sch to call me to confirm whether I should go down on 22 or 23 Jul to register. Why do I need to wait for the sch to call me?
Knowing that I am recommended to register under phase 2B, why can't I just go on either day to register my child? Can someone help to advise please. Thanks..

Just wait for the school call/letter lor. SHHK will be sending out all letters to TNS and SHHK will be calling all parents selected for phase 2B.

You are so lucky as I had checked with both TNS & SHHK and my son is not recommended for Phase 2B

Just called SHHK, I'm not recommended for Phase 2B as too many applicants for TNS and my membership is less than 1 year.


In fact, I did joined earlier, but it was after their 1st meeting. Their 2nd meeting is usually around Aug. So parents who are thinking of going to Phase 2B, pls consider to join SHHK at least 2years in advance.

Now have to prepare for the next battle, Phase 2C balloting :stupid:

SHHK only has the meeting twice a year. The first one this year was held in Feb (I think) so the next one will be later part of this year (should be around Sep or Oct). After their meeting, a letter of notification will be sent to you.

However it looks looks like you will only be members for less than a year before the P1 registration. If the no. of applicants to your target school is very high then it's going to be tricky since Iheard the only consideration point is on membership tenure.

Thank you piggymum for the information. We will be moving within 1 km to the school just in case 2B is out. At least we can try for 2c <1km.

I just submitted SHHK membership in May and they had deducted the subscription amount. Does any parents know when their next meeting so that I can receive my membership early as my son will register for P1 next year ?

FYI, Tao Nan closes their PV application in March 2009(which is unexpected as other school start PV registration in June 2009 only). I had to joined SHHK as my next option to join phase 2B next year.
