RE: COE trends
On the Grab and Uber new players coming in, it’s a zero sum game. When someone gain market shares, another will lose. It’s not a big market in SG. Perhaps some comfort or citycab drivers are switching to the new players…
However, I’m really skeptical about the biz model of getting new cars (with COE) which will be privately owned and operate as uber. Not sure how long can this last… But gov will be happy coz they will keep the COE price ‘high’, at least for a few bids… -

RE: New ERP system from 2020
pirated:
with the kind of accuracy u described, there should be no argument in the event of accident....KSP:
after ERP 2.0 from 2020, the traffic condition will be back to before ERP 1.0..... coz the charges will be based on usage not where the vehicles go..... well, its going to be back to square one.... who would want to use normal road if can use expressway with same charges ? :slapshead: and no matter what the drivers will have to pay more eventually :moneyflies:
They probable already done the matrix of which 50m of which road at which hour / minute will be priced how much, loaded into their program liao. And probably bus lane infringement also load into the system for auto tracking. Understand the satellite can tell you in clarity your car number plate and on which lane you are on. Try running the red light. -
