zac's mum:Thanks Zac's mum. All clear nowYes if used grandparent’s address, you will still be considered 1-2km category. You have missed the window period for making Statutory Declaration anyway. Final deadline to make SD was 2 August 2018, 4pm.ldawnl:Thanks. Will be applying for FTPP under 2CS.
Just to double confirm, if i were to change my address to parents' house which is within 1km, i have to make a salutatory declaration and will still be downgraded to 1-2km?
For withdrawal, just submit a new application and the system will capture the latest submission right?
What do u mean about withdrawal? U don’t need to withdraw from your 2C application. It has automatically lapsed since 2C is over.
If u mean after u apply FTPS in 2C(S), u change your mind and want to withdraw to another school, then u need both original ICs to withdraw from FTPS, then rush over to School B to apply again same phase.

RE: Kheng Cheng
Hi. Does any parent here managed to get into Kheng Cheng via waiting list [for previous years]?
Is it on a first-come-first-serve basis? -

Got to apply under phrase 2CS where u get to choose one school only as well. Only when it's still unsuccessful, then u will need moe assistance to hand u a form and tick 3 schools out of those schools which still have vacancies. I called moe and asked about it yesterday. For phase 2cs if still get ballot out , how does moe assign ? M is it on 21/8 we will know which school been assigned ?
Thx
Mine was unsuccessful. -
RE: All About Home Addresses

HI! So, do we change the address for just one of the parents or both?cherrygal:
Fraud is only if you use the address and don't live in it.
Yup.
Therefore, if you own 2 or 3 properties, you could use 1 address for Phase 2B registration, update to another for Phase 2C registration, and update to the last for Phase 2Cs registration. You will then move in and stay in the one that you got in via distance priority. -
RE: First Toa Payoh Primary
Hi parents,
I’m applying my child under the phrase 2CS. Will like to know more about the teaching culture (communication btw teachers & parents, are teachers encouraging to slower learners etc). Because there is little information about this school on the internet.
Very much appreciated for any information shared from you all~
Thank you! -
RE: [Toa Payoh] Primary Schools
Thank you all for the advice.
Looking and reading on the schools. Apparently, not much information on First TPY Primary.
I am not particular on the PSLE results or so, but at the minimum, the teachers have to be caring and encouraging. I do not want a school which segregate the pupils into "good" or "bad" category… -

Thank you. Worried...
If u want the safest safest option, apply for First Toa Payoh Primary. Confirmed can get in.ldawnl:
I have just confirmed that my child's application to Kheng Cheng was unsuccessful.
May i seek some advise here?
To register for Cedar or First Tpy? Both 1km-2km range
Cedar, on the other hand, is expected to have lots of overflow applicants balloted out from Maris Stella and St Andrew’s, who are using the Bidadari Estate BTO address <1km. Don’t go fighting with them cos u will lose out.
At this point, just secure a seat in the safest school and be done with it. -

If the school has notified the parents that the chance of getting into the school is zero, then the parents can applied for another school within the cut-off period. The system will take in the latest application.
If I'm not wrong, there is no withdrawal required if you're out of the particular phase. When I received the SMS notifying me that my son didn't get a spot in 2B, I already prepared myself to apply in 2C and I managed to do so using the P-IS system without having to withdraw first. I am guessing this is the same for 2C and 2C Supplementary? Sorry if I misunderstood your post.janet88:
really? i thought the school admin will call or inform parents to withdraw and register in schools which still has vacancies.
to make these parents lose a chance to secure a place at 2C is really very terrible. how can MOE allow that to happen?
phase 2C is open to the kids who have no connection to earlier phases...if parents are informed to withdraw and register elsewhere but still die die want to hold on, then too bad if balloted out.
The problem is, I tot i will have a chance in Kheng Cheng balloting for 1km-2km, but nope... Plan all screwed up.
