Heard that WPS did very well for PSLE.Many students got into top choice schools with high cut off points.Other subject results were also above national results.

School has a good balance of academic, character development & joyful learning for well-being of students.
Heard many students’ results allow them to be eligible to apply to many good secondary schools & students in fact had to decide which of the many good schools is best for them at secondary level.

How did the pioneer batch of children do for their PSLE?
      Hi Adrena,
I am one of the pioneer batch of parents in this school. Just to share some information with you, the school pioneer batch did well in the PSLE their score is above national average and 65% of the students did better in the PSLE as compare to their preliminary exam results. All these information is share by the school prior to the release of results on that day. There is no disclosure on the top scorer as nowadays schools are not encourage or allowed to do so by MOE. In fact my child score is good enough to consider for a all girls SAP school in Bukit Timah but I don't think she is the top scorer in the school. I am grateful to the school for providing her a holistic education the for the past six years as I always believe it takes a village to raise a kid. If you wanted to know about the school better you may visit the school official FB https://www.facebook.com/West-Spring-Primary-763228920471063/?ref=bookmarks. Hope I answer your query. :rahrah:

I am a parent of two children studying at WPS . my eldest child is the pioneer batch of WPS, this year she will be taking her PSLE whereas my younger child is in P1 after seeing what my eldest child went through her previous years with the school I have decided to place my younger child in the the same school as her sister as I have confident with the school leadership and the staffs. Even if there is a change of leadership I believe the legacy left by the school leader will continue to follow up. As a parent I am obviously concern about my eldest child PSLE but I am equally assure the school are doing their very best to prepare them for their exam I understand from my child for the PSLE oral the school started preparing them as early as Mar where teachers meet students in the morning to converse with them. Even the school's VP, Ms. Sab was part of this I am really very appreciate of their efforts and I always believe give credit when credit is due. This is only part of the preparation to mention the school also have entended curriculum everyday except Tuesday & Wednesday to give the students extra support. I do agree the exam is difficult but on the other hand it is to remind the students they need to put in effort for their exam as it is certainly not a piece of cake. Over the years the school have achieve awards like maths olympiad & other competitions, the school official fb (https://www.facebook.com/West-Spring-Primary-763228920471063/?ref=bookmarks) have highlighted their achievements. WPS also takes great pain to pace student's learing so as not to add unnecessary stress and yet ensure students put in best efforts. Motivation & recognition is given to P6 students to spur them on. In fact next month the school is planning a trip to Legoland for the students to destress but it is also learning trip this shows how far the school takes great effort to manage the well being of the students. Apart from the activities I have mentioned every year there are outing for different level of students such as sand castle building at East Coast, Diary Farm visit(as it is near to the neighbourhood), 1 night camp at Jalan Bahtera, there are lots more to mention but visiting the school official FB will indeed help to understand the activities the school had organised for the students. Every year the school principal organise breakfast sessions for parents to attend and to hear their concern as the door is always open. I would like to stress there is no perfect school not even the most prestigious school can claim they are perfect. At the end of the day both my children are happy and looking forward to school everyday as a parent I also need to manage my expectation for the school as WPS is only 6 years old but as years goes by I am convince the school will learn and progress.
