Which Teacher is Teacher R? My DD teacher for last year K2 was Teacher R. I think she was very good. But I know she has left recently as she told me. Is she the one you all are talking about?
yupyup..suorsop.. we are referring to her.
she went over to an Australian-based pre-sch. i think its for the better as for her kind of passion, she needs a place more lively & creative.. ;)) -

lizz, I heard they have to pay for the extra class like chinese... i thought is should be inside their curriculum. Which teacher left? is it Tch R? The one that taught our kids when they are in N1?
yup.. her last day is today.. & as u know T F also left alr..
Mayb HYPY(Hanyu Pinyin) & CCA( Chinese Appreciation) is additional cost.. -

Oh was there a management change? My DD was there for a year for K2 and she just finished last year. I thought the center was quite ok. Yeah..I agree the fees are horendously high. But messy? In what sense?
Like GIRO prob. & also withdrawal wt late refunds, more of HQ issues.. -

just for curiosity .. how much is the fees at LV vista pt ?? this sch was my first choice when i was looking around for CC.. at that time, i was quoted SGD 660 after sub..
fees for FD is $1016.50 -300(sub) if mum working
=$716.50
i heard they 'renew' their curriculum. one of the good teachers there is leaving.. ;(( -

hi soursop,Hi kat and lizzkim,
What was the reason you pulled your kids out from LV Vista Point?
i loved the teachers there esp the ones who'd been ther for long.. also the P.
but the fee is hiking up quite drastically till its doesnt go on par wt the service that they are giving. its an overall a fair cc to put yr kids in, not having to worry when u leave for work but since the management chge, its been really messy. -

hmmm.. looks kinds ok.. i would love the confidence of public speaking. i shall monitor how they cope with their new school. if they seem to flop.. then mayb i;ll go check out PR.dear lizzkimm
my gal is in Phyllis Riccia Sch for about a year.. she is k1 this year.
My viewpt is that they are not very academic but focus more on life skills instead..so far i have no major complains about the sch..
The sch is very big on celebrations and performance hence they do spend a fair bit of time on rehearsals etc.. in a way it build up the child confidence but this would also mean eating into the cirriculum hrs.
They do go for outing almost once a month , which i feel that it is beneficial to the kids.
The cons would be the facilities as the place is quite rundown. And through out my girl's 1.5 yrs , i did not see her bringing much worksheets home..
thanks lala81 :siam:
