It's just kids venting....try brushing that off. I don't know any adults who will jump out of bed at this early hour and say I LOVE work.mama_g:
jeez, sounds like my DS. every morning must cajole, threaten, shout, drag...

Ok, at least i know i am not alone.. but jetsetter, does your DS repeatly tells you that \" I dont want to go to school, i hate school\"
Upon hearing this really makes me....
btw, on your remark about taking video and showing...don't think it's going to work. Cos you can take video, but it's a bit hard showing to these people without you looking really odd - likely a cannot accomplish.
I sometimes tell my kids I won't be late even if you are....so if you really want, I can send you to school late - no impact on me hor. (I used also to remind my kids about their friends who have to wake at 5ish, and then downstairs at 6am!!! to wait for school bus - they good life in that I delay their wake up time). But this is just me venting....
I dont expect her to tell me that she LOVES school. But i think its a very negative start for the day by saying you dont want to go to school/ work and you hate it. I did try to brush it off but it really upset me seeing her like this EVERY morning.
As for the video taking idea... this stikes me as i think she will feel embarrassed if i really show a \"third party\" how she behave every morning. -

RE: Morning woes
I target her to be on her bed at 9pm. Door closed and lights out. But she will only fall asleep at around 10pm. Around 1 hour is wasted. Before sleeping, she will usually watch some TV, play with her brother and pack her school bag. SHould i stop all these activities so that she can sleep better/ faster?

RE: Morning woes
We started the "session" at 6.40am, she will only physically get out the bed at 6.55am. Leave home at 7.10am. With recent drama, she didnt even want to take breakfast.

RE: Morning woes
It started since this year. My P3 DD was in AM session since last year but this year it just got worst. I am going crazy soon. It happens every single day without fail. We (DH, mil and me) need 15mins to wake her up every morning. For the first 5 mins, she can just continue sleeping like a log… next 5 mins will be the shouting and screaming session… last 5 mins will be the pulling and dragging session. This is very dramatic but it happened every school day. After waking up, she will repeatly nag " I dont want to go to school, I hate school" I am a FTWM. I am really tired to play such stunts with her every morning. Tried asking her nicely during evenings when she is in good mood what actually happened in school. Why she refused to go to school? 1 of the reasons is due to the tigeress math teacher. But i told her as long as you do your work, she will not scold you for no reason. The other reason is "tired". Every night, i will rush her to bed at 9pm but she will flipped around till 10pm before she fallls asleep. If you ask me what is the reason for her to behave such way, i will say she is just plain lazy and not motivated to go to school. Spoke to her teachers, she is cheerful and helpful in school, get along well with friends, no problem. But i am having serious problem every morning. Can someone enlighten me with some tips? I am really lost and disappointed.
