      pqy:
Hi can i check with parents whom child was in P1, did your receive the consent form for the school actitivites like what Nahir above mentioned. Till today, my boy still not bring such form back.

Hi pqy, not to worry. My girl is in P1 too and she also did not bring back any consent form for the school activities. That consent form seems to be for CCA activities which is not required for P1 & P 2 students.

Can anybody tell me whats the difference between supplemenatry lessons and enrichment programmes???

Again we are new to Juying and my duaghter is in primary 3,please friends,Msyu or any one please explain above thing, thanks:)
      Hi Nahiz,

Supplementary lessons is conducted by the form teacher for any subject the teacher deems necessary. For Enrichment programmes, the school engage outside educators to conduct the lessons. One example is Chinese Creative writing which my son attended last year. It is not compulsory. Usually we need to pay a small sum of money.

      pqy:
If there is PE, child need to wear PE direct to school or wear uniform n change PE set during the PE section. Hope someone can enlighten me on the above query. Tks

      Hi pqy,

For lower primary (P1-P2) they are allowed to wear their PE attire throughout the day, without having to change into uniform. However for upper primary, if their PE lesson is before recess they will need to change into their uniform during recess time. But if they have CCA, they are allowed not to change.

      Hi Kiasu_mum,

Do you mean Little Professor at Blk 711 ?

I went there few years ago, managed to "tour" around the place. Basically the place is not big and quite run-down. Not very appealing to me as a parent.

I’ve been reading good feedback about Little Professor so last year I went to take a look again, hopping to see a better environment. But to my disappointment, there is no change at all. The centre looks like not many students there, very quiet.

      Hi jiyou2003,

Sorry for the wrong info…When my son first brought back the class timetable, it was stated that there is HMT on Monday after school. However few days later, he told me it is not true. So for first half of this year, he had 2 days for CCA and 1 day for supplementary class.

I saw in the school website that there will be a P3 Science Practical test for the coming SA1. Can anyone provide some info as to what kind of practical test will that be ? Really clueless about this as I do not hear from my son that they are doing any practical lesson in school.

yes agreed. My son in P3, everyday come home with lots of homework.

This year particularly Science, i find the standard very high for a new learner. Some of the questions they really have no idea how to answer. :?: In two weeks time they are going to have their CA !!! Really short time to teach him, especially with so much homework, do not have the excess time to do extra work with him. 😢
