Ntu/nus med school application/interview/result 2025/2026
Hello everyone, I’ve created this topic to facilitate the sharing of important updates, such as interview schedules and selection outcomes. A similar thread existed last year, but I was unable to locate one for this year’s application process.

Does Crescent girls have similar briefing as SST?
Once your son accept a DSA contract, he is locked in for the next 4 years all the way, cannot come out anymore join other Secondary school, until he finishes his O level exam in year 2025.alternateshift\" post_id=\"2038297\" time=\"1631779871\" user_id=\"27496:
Congrats to all parents whose child have gotten CO/WL ..
My son got CO from SJI (O Levels) and SST, hence now a decision to be made
So far he is quite indifferent
Wondering if any parents have any insights/thoughts regarding these two schools?
Right now, at PSLE, to what extent is your son interested in subject Science itself ?
If your son intend to take Triple Pure Sciences in Sec 3 (year 2024), then obviously he cannot go SST, because SST permit only
\"Double\" Pure Sciences plus
One Applied Science subject combination. No Triple Pure Sciences allowed in SST, at Upper Sec. This, you must be aware of.
But
if you think your son unlikely to choose Triple Pure Sciences combination in Upper Sec, then Yes, he can go SST.
The difference in SST curriculum, vs. other O-level track Secondary schools curriculum, just for subject Science alone ?
SST students are often engaged in meaningful hands on projects, that readily guide them how to apply Scientific concepts keenly.
Soon, the Principal of SST will invite all P6 students offered COs of what to expect, should they accept SST CO. She will paint a rosy exciting picture, of what studying in SST is like. Do attend this briefing, for all P6xers to welcome on board -

My dd was offered CO by Crescent and TKGS back then - the only 2 schools she decided to DSA for under performing arts. She is now in uni year 2. Crescent has been one of the most rewarding journey for her. It trained her in terms of future tech skills as they were into using technology and slate for learning. I recall she was conversant with powerpoint, video makings, etc... when she was in JC.
1) Definitely Crescent Girls. While I do not have specific numbers of the o level results of both schools, I am quite sure CGS gives better results than CC Yishun.MerlionInGermany\" post_id=\"2037918\" time=\"1631587539\" user_id=\"2964:
Hi everyone, done advices or contents needed.
My daughter was offered DSA based on her performance art both to crescent girls and ChungCheng Yishun. My daughter do not know that she was offered by both schools as we have a pact that she got to know it after PSLE exam. I would be glad to have some comments or advice from anyone of you out there about Crescent Girls and Chung Cheng yishun.
1) Chung Cheng is affilated to NYJC while no affiliation for Crescent girls. This matters only she choose to continue to JC rather than polytechnic after O level. This is something we are not sure now.
2) although I stay in Yishun, distance is far
. But this is not a concern for me. What matter most is that my gal can learn to be a responsible girl who can take charge of her studies in secondary which I see it in both my elder sons.
3) personally I prefer girls school and express only school, so less BGR and discipline issue.
Anyone can give me more insight of Both schools? Any comments are welcome.
One can only use max 4 bonus points (unless going to CLEP, then you can use 6). So if going by majority of how people use the bonus points, it would be through cca and hmt. This means at CC Yishun, if you have cca, hmt, and affiliation to use, you can anyway use only 2 of them. Of course, we dont know if you will have cca and hmt, so maybe that is why some may think having the 2 points from affiliation is good to have. Well that’s not wrong, but coming from CC Yishun, erm…why not ask at NYJC, how many actually come from CC Yishun? :siam: Or ask seniors who went to CC Yishun how many make use of their affiliation points, since you stay at Yishun, assuming the pri sch is in Yishun, there should be seniors who go to CC Yishun.
2) and 3) point to Crescent over CCYishun.
In addition, while she entered CGS with 23X cop back then, she did well for O levels and eventually choose to go to VJC (though she qualified for RJC/ HC) which she had a perfect score for A levels thus earning her the scholarship offers. I always felt that CGS value add in her journey. As she has CCA and HCL, the affiliation doesn't really matter in this case as it's a max of 4 bonus point.
I recall alot of her pri mates went to CCHM. They eventually end up in TJC iso NYJC.
Based on my search and comments from all of you, Crescent girls is definitely a good school. Thanks for your advice. -

Somone suggested to me to consider CGS too. I like what I read on their English curriculum.
CCy is a sap school? More into Chinese?
Which sch does your dd prefer?
And most of her friends are likely to go? -
