    • RE: 2018 PSLE Discussions & Strategies (Born in 2006)

i was looking for some advice …i am in the dilemma that should i continue with current tutor which started 3 months ago or change to other group lesson.

my son this year PSLE, and he was with mind stretcher but stopped after complaining boring and does not help, we then switched to private tutor from Feb onwards and but he end up english mark drop during the recent SA1-not sure if we put too much expectation on the tutor… does tutor come with their own study and teaching material? one thing i find is private tutor seems lack of resources compare to mind strecher or learning lab these kind of tution centre.
so should i change him back to tuition centre?
anyone can share with me some experience and opinion? thanks a lot

    • RE: 2012 P1 Registration Exercise for 2013 In-Take

bumped this thread…glad that it’s already in the discussion - my son is going to P1 in year 2013. We failed in getting the PV job in RUlang Primary school so looks like can only choose Jurong Pri. which is just 5 minutes’ walk away. though my son’s cousin are all from RUlang…but not siblings. even though…look at this years PSLE result, wondering if we should still try Rulang at phase 2C if fail then try Jurong Pri. at phase 2CS? any advice there? Thx!

    • RE: All About Flu and Cough

glad to see this discussion…so many others having the same problem like mine…my son’s been having cough problem on and off for the past years…yes, he does have sensitive nose, allergy things…to bad. running nose? becz of that. cough? becz of that. blinking eyes? becz of that…all doctors conludes the same and blame the same thing…allergy. could be dust mite…but what i can do with dust mite? i bought vancuum just for mattress dustmite, i wash his bed sheet weekly…that’s all i can do. he had seen GP, PD, lung speciliast, ENT specilast…this and that…still, cough comes and goes. this time it takes 2 weeks and doctor says brochitis, so put him on anti biotics. he’s been on Zyetc for long time, he has nasonex, vetolin inhaler, singulair, zaditen…full of medicine at home and i can memorize all the medicine already…wondering if it is ok to take all these but no choice…sigh! he’s on Scotts Multi V, recently start colostrum. he’s skinny and underweight. but he’s happy, active, eats well (at least i think his eating portion ok). so what more i can do…maybe just have to live with it and wait he outgrow it. I think i will let him swim when he gets well, he’s going to be 5 yrs so can start swimming lesson now.

guess that’s the life…i do wake him up once at night…but the timing was always wrong. if too earlier like 1am wake up him, by the time he gets up around 8am plus, pants wet again. if wake him up 2 or 3 am, he might already wet the bed. waking him up twice i feel too much disruption on his sleep. luckily he has enough underwear and pants to change, even twice a night…sigh!

    • RE: Eye Twitching

my son (4 and 1/2yrs old) had the problem for couple of weeks, I thought eyesight drop so prohibit him from PC and mobile games, etc. also reduce TV watching. brought him to KKH to see eye specialist. eyesight ok, was told due to allergy…so put him on some allergy medicine. dust mite is the main cause of allergy, i was told.

doctor says other than allergy, eyesight drop, stress, mimicing others…all could be the cause of blinking eyes.

    • RE: Colostrum

HI I want to know also…what brand in GNC?

is it suitable for fussy eater? my son likes Brands Vitamin C chews the pink color one but recently I changed to Multi V. chews white color, he then refuse to take…he’s picky on things…but still I want to give it a try. I couldn’t breastfeed my son and he’s on fomula since day one so it might give me some comfort if i can find other type of colostrum. He’s small size and skinny, now 4 and half years onld only 15 kgs!
