Hi.. i was a former student of yzps, am a Singaporean. staying within 1km of the sch. Which phase do my child fall under?

Phase 2A(1) if you had joined alumni club ( if there is one) and phase 2A(2) if you did not. Not much difference between the 2 phases though.

Is there a need to join the alumni club? Can we use the grandparents address to register for the sch?
Hi sapphire09,

There is no compulsory to join the alumin club.
As a ex-student, you are already eligible for the phase 2A2.

If you wish to register using grandparents address, you would need to make Statutory Declaration with the MOE. The declaration period which normally last a month will begins when the Primary 1 registration starts.

You can use the follow MOE URL to find out more information.

Hi Liuk73,
I believe it is the chinese worksheets that we had bought last yr when we buy all the books.

I have also checked, lessons had started normally now.
I think children replied no lessons cause they already know the subjects.
So far in these 2 weeks lessons, I check n verified with my girl they are learning alphabet, numbers and chinese characters. Class 1D just started their spelling yesterday for every Tuesday. :boogie:

In the diary, there is a timetable, for 1D class, they are havin Maths for 4 days a week except for Wednesday
Class 1D have ENGLISH and MOTHER TONGUE everyday.

Coming Friday, class 1D will need angbao and staples for tgeir art class.

For other classes, I think it is different.

Every Wed is PAL day, in which minimum 2 classes will combine together for some games or sports activities.

Thus far, my girl is enjoying her school sessions very well.
How about the rest?

So far I know there r no bring home homework for class 1D

Hi, My girl is in 1D.

I had wrote in to school and ask on some questions.
I had also ask my girl on what they had been doing.
Thus far, there is a already a time table issued to my girl in her handbook. It is stapled to the first page.

My girl has also shared with me they have started learning numbers yesterday (Thursday). However not sure about other classes. You might want to check with your child again.

However I’ve also learnt from my child that the buddy system for canteen has stopped since Thursday, and the primary 1 kids are now alone with teachers and some adults supervision for their recess time.

hi bekithia,

I am curious on this distribution system you are referring to.
Are you pointing to the ways how the school progress its students to the next class allocation after Primary 1?

My DD is joining Pri 1 next year.
I would thought that the allocation is a random assignment since there was assessment made on the new P1 enrolled students?

Can you please share more on your input about this school allocation of students to their classes? :scratchhead:

Hi,

Yangzheng currently has 57 vacancies for P2C for 2014 registration.

Does anyone has any information on the number of current applicants of Yangzheng Primary School?

Hi Tiozz,

The take up rate will always be published at the end of the day on the website.
Check out the updates at the end of the day.
Usually I would check about 2200 of the day.

Currently, there is already an over-subscribed of applicants.
Unless from the previous, there are withdraws, the case should be a ballot situation.
And since the number is small, it is likely to be ballot for the those beyond 1KM.

Hope this helps.

dao:
There is a EPPS (Elias Park Primary School) Parent Support Group blog. Maybe can ask them.

http://eppsparentsupportgroup.blogspot.sg/

Hi dao,

It is from there I have received various comments, and it appears to be a mixture with the comments leaning more towards the negative.

So am hoping to get others feedback on this.
