Hi, so sad to hear abt such kids abuse cases..
did you relate the whole issue to MCYS? MCYS will look into renewing of childcare licence upon expiring.
Luckily, my kid's childcare principal & teachers are not like them...

The very first thing, we called up MYCS, but they said that they didn't have the right to take action as this student care was run under private. Just for experience, for those who wanted to look for student care or child care. It is better to look for government base that MYCS could take action if anything go wrong. This is just for safe guard. We didn't intend to pursue the matter since my boy was fine and no any injury. Good luck for everyone.. šŸ™

really horrible story. hope you child will be ok
...I never see by myself, but when I went there ard 6.30 to fetch them, my boy was sleeping on the chair and when i woke him up, his voice was hoarse can feel that after crying for more than half an hour. and at the same time my girl (P2 student) who is there too told me the whole exact story..where the director and the wife only stand behind me never bother to apologize or explain why they did like that.

Dear mickeyminnie, as this is now an open police case, it will not help if you discuss it in an open forum. I recommend that you do so only after there is a proper resolution that permits you to talk about your side of the story. In the meantime, you can use private messages to discuss with members of the community if you need advice.

Hi,

I entrolled my 9 yrs old child in the CMA recently. Yap, it really late for her to start now. I checked with the centre , they told me the speed of calculation might slow but to understand the concept will be much better as compare to the younger age. After much consideration, I decided to entrol her as I find she lost interest in doing assignment because she is slow in mental calculation. I hope abacus can improve her mental calculation therefore help her to speed up and gain confident while doing assignment. In addition, abacus train the right brain.
I would consider enroll by 7yr old son, aft gradually settle him down with other tuition / enrichment...
recently i found 'free assignment' website. you can let ur 9yr old child try out.

I assume your daughter had febrile fits during her infancy which could not have caused any damage to her brain, have you sent her for specialist's assessment to confirm that her 'slowness' is due to that?
Cartier,
Thanks very much for you concern. 😢
She was hospitalised for a short period, done brain scaning, ECG + 1yr outpatient checkup. Only recently, acadamically we find her slow. Had make apptmt with kkh specialist to reassess her.

I have a colleague, who daughter had fits when young, now in P2. Her result is 6.5% to 10% only. That makes me thinks/suspect that my daughter could be in the same problem. I have invite him to bring his daughter to CMA, hope its not too late for the poor girl.
