Hi hi, does anyone here know what is the process for NYGH's suppliers to bid for any of their requirement? Other independent schools like ACS, MGS and SCGS go through portals like GeBiz (Government Procurement Biz Portal), and I know HCI has a Procurement Portal on their website. But can't seem to find any for NYGH. Anyone can enlighten? I'm not a supplier btw
just concerned about how school funds are being used.

Yes you are right. Pardon my ignorance!
Do you mean School Submission Preference after PSLE result (S1 posting)?
There will be a DSA School submission preference on 23 to 27 Oct. For this one, you will not be able to submit RGS, since you did not have the offer. You can only submit NYGH as 1st choice or 2nd choice if you have other CO, or choose not to submit at all which means your DSA offer will lapse, and you will receive S1 posting form together with the PSLE result.
If you choose to exercise your NYGH CO or other school CO, you will not be able to participate in S1 posting, means you can't go for RGS.
Parents, please correct me if I am wrong

RE: DSA 2023
Gd morning all, not sure if anyone asked this before: For instance, during the School Submission Preference, if my DD wants to put RGS as 1st choice (which she didn’t apply DSA to), and NYGH (which she got CO) as 2nd, is this ok? If eventually her AL cannot meet RGS cutoff, will NYGH still accept her? Thanks!

I think NYGH is one of the schools which traditionally release their outcomes towards the tail end of the deadline. Best is just to call them and check. The least they can tell you is whether they have released or not, and if they will release in batches or all in one shot.
Has anyone heard back from NYGH DSA Service Leadership? Official email states 11Sep, tho just wondering if anyone has heard back early from all the other domains? 🤪 -

I really don't think schools will do this cos it gets procedurally and logistically more complicated in their selection process, unless someone can confirm that there are schools that have done this in previous years? I believe most schools purposely release their DSA CO/WL towards the end of the stipulated deadline as they would want the students to focus on preparing for their PSLE/Prelims instead of telling them the outcome early on and resulting in them slacking thereafter.
Just wonder: if the school has decided to issue CO to the student after interviewing , will the school wait to see the student P6 prelim result before finalizing it? -
RE: DSA 2023
Anyone else received notification/email/SMS for trials/auditions/tests today? A bit quiet eh…

I believe the sec schools will look at their P6 term assessment(s) before June 2023 as well, as long as the schools can access these through internal MOE system.
Then they will probably look at the P5 EOY results. Which have already passed.
-

Any idea if NYGH, RGS and SNGS also filter based on academic results first? Tks..
I’ll just state it right here, in case u didnt know yet. Schools like DHS and HCI are known to filter Sports DSA applicants (and also performing arts & other non-academic DSA domains) based on academic results. Their bar is pretty high.
-

For clarity, there are two IP schools in the east that accept Wushu DSA - one is a boys’ school while the other is a mixed school.
The boys’ school is one of the traditional sport powerhouses (still dominant in some sports,) while the mixed school isn’t anywhere remotely close to owning a sport
Anyway, since the schools set different DSA criteria regardless of what they tell the public, I guess we'll just need to do our own research, and as zac's mum put it, to set the appropriate expectation. And treat it as an experience to harden the kids.
Thanks for your feedback guys!
