    • RE: St. Margaret's Secondary

Hihi, heard the principal is changing next year, anyone can confirm?

Yes! I think it is good to have new blood in the school. I personally felt staff in the school is getting complacent under the old P.

Students are classed not in clear order, but the best class is 1/1. There is a mix of students from St Margs Primary and non-affliated schools in each class.

Do share with us the form teacher and co-form of your daughter's class. I am an ex-student, who graduated a few years back and can help you if you need to know more information.

Hope your girls are enjoying the orientation so far.
      Hi lovelydaises,

My girl is in 1/5. She is still getting use to the travelling to and from school as we stay in Woodlands.

Hi Mrs Ong, I am not familiar with Mr Khairil but I did hear good things about Ms Juliana. I was not even aware she is not in Evergreen anymore. Such a pity....

BTW, which CCAs should our children join to have a better chance of gaining entry via DSA? What is the selection criteria that the secondary school will adopt?
Miss Teo left the school end last year... sad...

My DD is in Netball. She will be applying for her secondary school through DSA this year. Evergreen's Performing Arts and Netball is strong. Secondary Schools are looking for at least a SYF Gold in Performing Arts and National Top 8 in Sports. With that, they might ask the child to come for a trial and interview. Then it is based on your child performance during the trial and interview they will decide whether to accept him/her.

Is it true that all form teachers follow their classes for 2 consecutive years like P1 and P2, P3 and P4 and finally P5 and P6? Which means the children will have 3 form teachers altogether in their 6 years of primary education in Evergreen. Are there any exceptions?

yup, it is usually the case. Unless exception case like teacher go on maternity , go on course, transfer....

It seems that good teachers had left... eg. Miss Juliana Teo, Mr Khairil are both very good teachers....sigh....

    • RE: DSA 2012

      Hi,

Can anyone tell me about RGS DSA? I heard must get a T score of 240 even they accept the child under DSA. Then how to opt for the school as the child’s T score is not out yet?
