Hi, from MOE website:

“3. Receive outcome and report to school

You will receive the outcome of your child's application through SMS sent to the local mobile number you have provided during your application. You may also log on to the online system using your Singpass.

Microsoft Edge is recommended for optimal use of this online system.

If you choose to accept the school offered, follow these steps to complete the transfer process:
Report to the current school to initiate the process.
Report to the new school.

This process must be completed within the reporting period. If you miss the reporting deadline, or decide not to accept the school offered, your child will remain in their current school.”

There is no official appeal process. What I would do is:
- simply let the deadline pass without action. Child will then officially stay in his old school
- since the desired school seems to have vacancies, just apply directly to the desired school (walk-in to the general office once Term 1 starts / call them to check transfer application procedure / use online transfer or query form if available).
- MP route if u think it’s faster

All the best!
Thanks Zac's mum! Unfortunately, old school is much, much further - in the north, we have moved to the west ☹️

Looks like my only option now is to seek MP's help sighhh

• RE: All about Transferring to Other Primary Schools

Hi, i applied for a school transfer for my son via MOE STEPS online and have received an sms today. He is offered a school which is inconvenient to travel to and fro home. There is a pri school right behind my blk which i believe, based on all the info online I gathered, is not a popular school. This school seems like one of the last few choices in this area. Like if we look at P1 balloting history, they still have vacancies in Phase 2CS so i was quite confident he would get a space in this school. My son will be in P2 next year btw. Anyone knows if i can appeal to MOE or seek help from MP maybe?

For those waiting to hear from SST, I received this reply from them a while ago…

We are still in the shortlisting process and will inform applicants via email if they are shortlisted.

Applicants who are not shortlisted for Phase 2 will be informed via email before 13 Aug.

It is better to check with the particular school directly, especially before you accept any CO.

I heard one principal at an IP/OP dual track school open house that the child just needs to get bare minimum of Express/NA option band (ie. 22) for the school to honour the CO.

Therefore, I guess it is possible that for schools with NA stream, child just needs to get bare minimum of NA/NT option band (ie. 25) for the school to honour the CO. But I can’t say for sure ask I didnt ask the relevant school.
Thank you!
All the best to all of us who's going through DSA this year :xedfingers: 😓

Hi all, may I know if a child’s P4 to P6 mid yr results have been hovering between express and NA, and somehow he gets a CO, will the school already indicate the stream they offer or will it depend on the child’s PSLE results then he will go into the stream he’s qualified for?

Also, I’ve read that the COP for DSA express is 20. What about for NA?

Any reviews on the other schools besides YTSS and Chung Cheng? We just moved to yishun 3 yrs ago so I’m clueless on schools in the north.

Hi, would greatly appreciate it if i could get reviews on the school. Is it a very strict school? Do they put a lot of pressure on the students? I came across an article from a parent who named the school Army Camp School…
