RE: ART ENRICHMENT CLASS
Oveja:
Apart from those that you have mentioned,Vita Qualitas
I once heard a father telling his friend on the MRT that he sends his son to drawing classes where his DS just sits there and draws anything he likes. The instructor sometimes walk over to his side and give him a few pointers. Nothing fanciful or technical. It's just a matter of Geography. Can't that be done at home?
What are the elements you look out for in a good art lesson?
Pure enjoyment?
Development of motor skills?
Fostering social skills?
Acquiring knowledge on Art?
Mastering techniques?
What else?
i think the process of learning art is as important.
Don't just focus on the final art work
e.g
- How well your child can imagine
- His/her creative abilities
- Uniqueness of a child's art work from the classmates or even the teacher -

Hi Tulip,
I decided not to take the \"risks\" of balloting and registered with KCPPS, which I had signed up as a PV, thus allowing me to register under phase
I am a newbie. Am interested to register my son in KCPPS.
Since your child is in the sch, care to share some strengths and weakness of KCPPS? Tks so much! -

Picasso once said \"Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.\" Every child is creative. As parents, we must make an effort to nurture their creativity.
Ahh... a Picasso in the making... can you imagine what his \"art teachers\" must have told him when they saw his art?poohcutie:
... Art teachers told me that she is abit stubborn. Only want to do things on her own way.
:?
Sometimes, my son drew or created something that did not make sense to me. But upon asking him, he had a story to tell .... why a picture or a model was made that way .... amazing. -
RE: Air Dry Clay
ks2me:
i agree that for children, it is more prudent to use non-toxic clay. These are also non-toxic air dry clay with some ideas what you can make:
http://www.x-ordinary.biz/gallery5.htm
This is what we play with.
Crayola has a non-toxic air dry clay called \"model magic\" that is very suitable for children. once model is done, just leave it to dry.
will be harden the next day.
