We are still debating which JC he should go. Worried that he may not keep up with the smarties in RI or HC. For some reason, hubby did not want to consider NJ or VJ.

May consider SJI IB, but not ACS. Still have a few more days to consider.

I can’t believe it! My son has 6A1s and nett score of 2, and he’s thinking of going to Nanyang JC! With encouragement from my husband.


What are they thinking? People are clamouring for RJC or HC and here they are, passing up this chance!!!

Q2. The roots of the quadratic equation x^2=3x +5 are a and b. Find the value of 1/a^2 + 1/b^2 and show that a^4 = 57a + 70.

Just wanted to ask, are participants who get into 2nd round confirmed to receive at least a Silver certificate?

My dd got in, but she’s not really Maths-inclined and doesn’t seem to think she needs to do any preparation. But it’ll be embarrassing if she ends up last in the 2nd round!
