I believe they still do, and it probably depends on where you stay and demand.Hi All,
I just want to find out if there are school bus for Crescent girls students?
TIA
My DD takes school bus to school for the last 3 years at least.
If my memory didn't fail me, the bus company did set up a booth during the registration day then.
Keep a look out tomorrow. -

Well, i do usually park within the school premises for my DD school event that i've attended. It could be parallel parking that stretches all the way to the other school exit. Suggest you come earlyHi, for tomorrow registration,
Can we park the car inside the school?
Where/Which is the nearest public parking lot?
TIA for any reply.
I wonder how did the 2014 Sec4 cohort perform for their Os. Any insights ?
Congrats to CGS last year sec 4s! Thanks to the teachers and the school, Crescent did very well this year! 90+% distinction for E math and around 80% distinction for A math. The school will have a half day off this year. Well done! Keep it up! :congrats:
I was told that CGS did well except for History which falls below national level.
It seems that MOE have some how lowered their passing standard for P6 and Sec4 last year... hope this is a good sign.. so everyone can make it to the next level without any difficulty. :celebrate:
The term \"below national level\" was referenced to no. of distinctions rather than % passess apparently.
DD also shared that for English, the no of students scoring distinction is more than 60%, or was it 70% ? Hope she got the info right ... as she does daydream at times
Hope the good results will spur the current batch of students to work even harder ! -

I canβt comment which are their niche CCAs or the DSA criteria.
I believe Choir is one of the area that CGS is looking for in terms of DSA. However, I am unsure about chinese dance. You might want to monitor their dsa application criteria to get a good feel of their requirements.cool_hi:
Hihi..
may I get some advice here??
May I check with fellow parents here, on whether Chinese Dance and Choir,
is Crescent's niche cca?
My girl has been learning ballet with NAFA,taking RAD grade3 this yr,
should be able to progress to take RAD grade5 at P6..
& joined Chinese dance since p1..
BUt considering changing CCA..
not sure is Chinese DAnce more favoured in Crescent?or Choir?
In terms of DSA & appeal cases
Anyone has any DSA/appeal experience to share?? Can PM me if preferred..
Many thanks in advance!!
To be successful in the dsa/ shortlist (based on our experience), i believed they are looking for girls whose academic results is decent. Maybe as a rule of thumb, target at least 75% for P5 and P6 overall results. Note that this is not explicitly stated in their criteria. Some schools do while others don't. But good if the child has those edusave awards to prove it.
Besides academic, our observation is leadership experience in the cca and their ability to perform under the respective cca.
But CGS Visual and Performing Arts (Chinese & Modern Dance and Choir included) were awarded distinctions in past SYFs, pretty consistently. That will reflect the amount of focus, rigour and dedication that both the teachers and students have invested to maintain that level of quality/standard.
You may want also to browse youtube to see some of these past performances. It gives one a good feel on the amount of time and expectations as well.
Just my two cents worth .. -

Oops .. It's a typo error. I've amended.
:? :? How come \"DS\" in Crescent GIRLS ? :scared:NextGenDaddy:
Sigh. No school bus for for DS this year due to lack to demand
There are only 5 students who had requested for transportation from Simei/Tampines/Pasir Ris to-date.
I am reaching out to parents who will like to consider having the transportation service from the Simei/Tampines/Pasir Ris vicinity. Do call the bus uncle - Mr Michael (94339572).
Hopefully, there is enough demand ...
Typo or have u posted on the wrong sch ?
She is definitely a Crescentian

Kudos to the girls and teachers of Crescent Girls for clinching the National Championship title for Canoeing (C division) and Hockey (B division) ! True grit and determination. Nothing less.

RE: Crescent Girls' School
It was a good and engaging parents seminar last Friday. I am pretty happy with the curriculum and the signature programs that the school runs for their students. I think the girls are in good hands.
Any thoughts?
