Hi all fellow parents!!!
As phase 2C draws near, I'm in a dilemma for SV or CCK primary.... both within 1km but CCK's just downstairs my block....
I'm sure both will go into balloting
.... anyone kind souls can shed some insight on which school I should focus on?
Thanks a zillion in advance!!! :grphug:

RE: Choosing and Evaluating Primary Schools
Hi hi, can anyone advise me on what I should do for my gal's P1 registration too...
I have 3 'choices' so far taking into account I live in choa chu kang & used to come from a convent school....
1. CHIJ - Convent of our Lady of Good Counsel (was a former student but location wise it's very far & don't know if the transport will take my girl from CCK to serangoon)
2. CHIJ - Our Lady Queen of Peace (nearer but still more then 2 km away though previous statistics show even at phase 2C, slots are still available. Might apply for PV to try for phase 2B if I decide to this school)
3. Chua Chu Kang primary (literally downstairs for my girl but will still be at phase 2C because no affiliation, etc & understand this school is pretty popular. PV dateline of 30th May is also over for next year's volunteering)
Any advice is immensely appreciated!!! :snuggles: -
RE: CGM Kindergarten
Hi Hi!
I'm also thinking of putting my gal in CGM next year when we're back from Aust in April 15.
Understand it's only a 3 hours a day session. What's everyone's take on a 3 hr vs a full day session?
How much is are the fees too & is there a 'queue'?
Many thanks in advance!!!

RE: CHIJ Our Lady Queen of Peace
Oh dear... so I need to decide which school to enroll her in, stick to it & pray for a miracle for OLQP then....
Hope they'll let me know early if I don't get it so I can quickly apply for CCKPS thereafter....
Might call them or even head down to ask what the chances are for my gal for P1 when the time comes when I head back to SG next year coz I'm in Aust right now...
Thanks sooo much for the input! Greatly appreciated!!!

RE: CHIJ Our Lady Queen of Peace
Many thanks babyK for your kind response!

I reckon too coz Im sure my gal will get in with 140m radius of CCKPS but was just thinking since I'm an ex-IJ gal, would like to have my daughter to study in an IJ school too... just my personal preference but I'm thinking it's gonna be a long shot since I'm 4.4km away from OLQP...
Can I kindly check how it works for the registration? Understand there's online now but still prefer the ole fashion going down to submit my P1 application. Can I actually submit in 2 schools & see which one will take my gal? I'm pretty confused about the 'phases' process & if 1 school is filled up, how should a parent go about securing a place in another school?
Tons of appreciation in advance! -
RE: CHIJ Our Lady Queen of Peace
hi hi! Many thanks for the advice!!!
So how does it work? When it's time for my gal, should I go to both schools to submit her P1 enrollment & wait it out or should I submit OLQP 1st & if she doesn't get it to submit somewhere else?
I'm afraid the slots will be filled by then.....
:thankyou: -
RE: CHIJ Our Lady Queen of Peace
hi hi,
I'm also saying >2km away... 4.4km to be exact! What are my chances of securing a place for my gal?
I'm catholic & my gal's baptized. I was in CHIJ (Convent of our Lady of Good Counsel) ages ago.... hope there will be some sorta affiliation... :xedfingers:
My nearest is CCKPS which is <1km away... will put her there if she can't get into OLQP.... (I'm just researching & studying trends right now. It's not for next year's intake)
All inputs greatly appreciated tons!
:thankyou:
