In worst case scenario, if 2A you got balloted and failed. What's your 2B or 2C backup plan? This is important to think first rather than panic at the last minute.

Try Phase 2C again. Then any schools liao.

Moving for a school which you have a Phase 2A chance makes perfect sense, but moving for a school for which you only have a Phase 2C chance is questionable and not advisable.

If you move now, it'd probably be a rental. Good luck.
Yes, u are absolutely right. It is a rental. I'm also worried abt the highly competitiveness of the students in that school as I have taken a relaxed approach so far. Need to buck up in K2 next year. Getting nervous if my kids can handle it.

After a long hiatus, I am back to visit this thread. I have replanned and am ready to relocate in early 2024 for phase 2A to School X (shy) . I only pray no balloting for 1km in that phase out of ordinary (past records is ballot more than 2km /no ballot) . Fingers crossed. Not that i am super kiasu but i dont want to be balloting in phase 2C in my area. I also have mixed feelings to move, but seems like the best option.

Depends on yr distance from sch. Alp and RVPS all need 1km balloting under phase 2c. I live in the area and see equal num of kids fr both schools but i dont know which is better. šŸ™‚ my kids are only in preschool.

      Hello,

I am thinking of registering my kid into ALPS this year.
I heard in 2020 ALPS has good PSLE result, but no much information after principle has changed.
Parents with kiddos in ALPS, do you think ALPS is a good choice?
      is RVPS or ALPS better?
      please help!

Hi ALPS parents, I'm considering Alexandra Primary and heard good things about it. However also heard PSLE scores are not ideal compared with nearby schools. Is that true?...

Which school results is better than ALP???

      Hi!
Is there any parents who successfully changed their child's school for P3?
What's the comparison between ALPS and ZPS? I'm thinking of changing his school (if we have a chance) as his current school is just teaching the basics and not much drilling and practice is given to him. He's doing very well now but I'm worried whether this wouldn't be enough for his future exams. He's usually soft spoken and is also complaining of many children being rougher. He has a good rapport with his teachers too. I'm at a loss as to what to do.
Make him stay at the same school (but later if it affects his PSLE, then?) his siblings will be following him too and will be subject to the same environment or should I try changing and give him a chance of a better learning environment? Provided we have a chance that is.
How's the waiting list for ALPS like? Would we stand a chance? Also, what must I put for \"reason for transfer\"?
I'm confused and would grateful for any replies. Thank you.

Do you mind letting know which school is he in? Pls pm if not convenient. :thankyou:

Must go for SCGS since u are within 1km. If many think alike like u and decide otherwise, the seats may go to 1-2km SC applicants, then u will have the greatest regrets.

Good luck. This year would be a good indication in how things may turn out. Still got time to readjust strategy / expectations.
