      Hi tankee,

I guess its based on the standing position in the whole standard, not just based one one class alone. For instance, top in one class, maybe ten in another class.

      Rgds,
      Leanne

That's what I thought too, but strange thing is why the kid that came in 2nd went 3J, while those after that kid went 3A with the top student.

My feel is that the top XX goes to 3A, then the next YY goes to 3J, then the next ZZ goes to 3A, then the next WW goes to 3J and so on....just my feel 🆒

      My son’s class’ no.1 & 2 went to 3A and no.3 to 3J.

So is it the top 80 randomly allocated to the top 2 classes?

How about after the top 80? How are the students distributed?

      phtthp:
my friend asked - Tao Nan got tests for kids on P1 orientation day ?

Nope, no tests on orientation day. You will know the kid's class before the orientation, and that will be the class that he/she will be going to.

      Hi tao nan newbies,

Hope can answer your questions to the best of my knowledge...cos my boy's only in P2, so I only have 1 year \"experience\" 😉

      1. I usually communicate with the teachers via email. My boy's P1 form teacher is quite responsive on email.

      2. The teacher will write on the whiteboard the things that the child is suppossed to bring, homeowrk, etc, and the child needs to copy into the student handbook.

      3. Wushu CCA only starts in P3. Ok, this one I'm not very sure, but I think the CCA is like the school team. Wushu enrichment is available from P1 and it's from the enrichment class that they select the members for the school team. Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong? 😉

      4. The leaflet on the chinese characters book is optional. And so are many leaflets that your child may bring back to buy this book or that book 😛

      5. If you want to sign up your child for any of the enrichment classes, you must fill in the form and ask your child to submit at the general office.

Hope this clears any doubts that you have!

    • Engineering and IT Courses in Poly

      Hi,

I'm an IT lecturer at NYP and I can advise on IT courses. There are almost no drawings required for IT courses. If the student is good at logical thinking (eg good at maths), he/she should be suitable to do IT.

As for theoretical modules, it depends on which diploma you choose. Generally, the more technical IT diplomas (e.g. Diploma in Information Technology) has few theoretical modules as compared to the diplomas that have some business components in it (e.g. Diploma in Business Informatics).

Hope I've cleared some of your doubts. If you would like to find out more, you can reply to this post or drop me an email at gohms_nypsit@hotmail.com.

      Best Regards.
