Hi Everyone,
I would like to hear if anyone has more insights or information on GCE O Level in Physical Education? Or your kid is taking this up as one of his/her Sec 3 subject combination.
I was told it was introduced back in 2008 and I could not locate any information in MOE link. It is not introduced to all sec schools so far.
Thank you. Cheers!
Hi... Anyone used Sec2 history book \"Singapore: Settlement to Nation, Pre 1819 to 1971\"? Is there any guide book for this just like companion guide the Living Past? Thanks in advance.
There is one. You can find it in Popular. Front cover is the same as the text but longer book. It's a good guide.
I have the same enquiry and I got the answer now.
Hi skyjuice and prettycoolmom,
I would like to know if you managed to get the said guidebook. No luck for me and I was told there's no guide book similar to the guidebook's cover.

Hi rubydoll,Hi ONGMUM
My son is in sec 1. I bought this book after reading from this site. My son used for his term 1 -physics.
yes the notes are good. But i now i think he needs more assessment books to practice as in psle.
I stopped buying assessment books like how i did in his psle .But after a while only i realized that is wrong.Yes longman is good for revision.
Thank you for sharing - good information.
All the best for your son's SA1 exams!

RE: Can you change school halfway through the year?
kiasuverymuch:
My daughter is studying in a secondary school. She used basketball to DSA . She is currently sec1. my husband wants her to transfer as she is failing subejcts. but i do not want her to transfer. are we allowed to change school halfway through the year? and what can I do to stop her father from changing her school?
Hi kiasuverymuch,
My take - we need to give our children a transition period from Primary school to Secondary school. They are taking on more subjects now and to fail a subject or two ā I find it is reasonable. We can always take necessary measures to step up his/her learning. I am sure after Term 2; our children will have a better understanding and knowledge to handle the subjects. I wonder if your daughter is too involved with her basketball CCA that neglects her study ā too tired each time after training like 2-3 days per week. Do find out the root cause before making the final decision.

Hi rubydoll,I bought the full set of books, but it's not so good as i expected.Yes the notes looks good but i think the exercise is not enough for getting good marks.
Now for my sons second term i now went popular and bought 2 assessment books.
I think like in primary schools the kids needs to practice more questions.
It's good to hear your inputs. May I ask which level is your son study now?
Did your son make use of this book for his exams lately?

Hi kitty2,Can you share whether the above books are better than the assessment books in Popular?
Thanks
Personally, I feel the notes are pretty comprehensive and easy to remember the concepts. My daughter shares the same sentiment. After each chapter, it comes with quiz questions which are good for practice. It is much better than textbook which is wordier. Besides having this book, my daughter has a Longman assignment book to expose to other types of questions.

RE: student councilor
Hi lolls,
I would regard being a student councilor as a great benefit for an individual in long run. This journey brings you the experience and knowledge which you will use in your future working world. You should look into the opportunity if it is offered to you again.
