Chiling only 1.74m ? Hhhhmmm, dd is 1.71 @ 14yo, really hope she has stopped growing taller. 😞
1.71m is such an ideal ht. How I wish my dd is as tall. Sigh, I am so short so how can I expect my dd to be tall, genes play a part mah.

My sis-in-law commented that short people look small and less confident. Of course I'm not happy about it but to some extent must admit that being taller has more pros than cons.

    • RE: IP Syllabus

      justsay:

Usually at the end of Sec 2, the students are to choose what subject combinations they want for Sec 3. The allocation will be based on their Sec 2 results. Those with good results will go to triple science (3 pure sciences), The rest would get double science (2 pure sciences) or combined science. Chemistry is compulsary for many schools, be it pure or combined.

When you buy guide books for pure sciences, the titles are 'Physics', 'Biology' and 'Chemistry'. Those titled 'Science Physics', 'Science Chemistry' and 'Science Biology' are for combined Science.
Do the pure science students still need to study geography and history in Sec 3?

      Sigh.

Reading through this thread makes me very 😞 ...

Think no one can beat my DS1's eyesight problem.
He is in P5 this year..... short-sightedness power ?......... 750

      😞 😞 😞
We are in the same boat cos my DD's hitting 1000 soon but she's in Sec 1. I never fail to worry about her eyesight since she started being myopic. SIGH!
Now giving her supplements like cod liver oil, bilberry, blueberry and wolfberry (eyes massage twice a day too). Very kiasu right!
