I couldn’t find more info on this, but it seems to me like only the printed certificate itself will have a name change. No longer called N level or O level cert, but SEC cert. Will indicate the year sat, and the G2/G3 level of the subjects, and corresponding grade.

Thank you, I do hope that this is indeed the case, at least our kids won't have to be guinea pigs being the new batch and can still use the 10-year series. My girls really quite unlucky. My elder one was the pioneer batch for the PSLE change to AL grading and then I realised today my younger girl will be taking the SEC in her sec 4. Time to see if this will change her mind to go IP track 🤪 plus now the English O level oral has changed too.

Under the FSBB, our P6 kids now will take the Singapore-Cambridge Secondary Education Certificate (SEC) when they are in sec 4 (2027). Does any one know the standard of the SEC compared to the GCSE O level? Will the papers be set by MOE and will it be of a higher difficulty? Or do the students still take the exam papers set by Cambridge but just that the certificate now is under the new name?
