RE: Anglo-Chinese School (Independent)
Thank you. You are right.
In sec sch, whether GEP or not, all study the same thing only the pace is different.Estéema:
1. There’s no GEP Programme at Yr1 per se. All will be doing the IP & same projects thro’out IP cohort
2. How many 2019 GEP class? Nobody can tell u till 2 Jan
3. Most questions alr replies to u. You just phrase slightly diff & insist not accept that nobody can second guess the number of classes.
You might hv a lot more adjustments then most parents. Just be happy yr child (I assume fr GEP Pri sch) got into ACSI to do IP/IB. By Yr 3, nobody rmbrd or cares if u’re a GEP student (if not right after year-end exams. Maybe MOE still tracks but GEP has lost its lustre. -

RE: Anglo-Chinese School (Independent)
Hi. Anyone’s kid in ACSI GEP class?
I wish to know if all primary school GEP students will do GEP at ACSI.
Also, in 2019, how many GEP classes are there?
How are the year ones picked to be in the GEP class?
Thank you. -
RE: Anglo-Chinese School (Independent)
Thank you.
Estéema:
In the past it’s first few classes fr GEP. Now only one GEP class, no idea 2019 Yr 1 cohort. GEP students will be mixed after Yr 2. Basically coz other IP classes hv students not accustomed to proj work, but after Yr2, all will be mixed with 2 years of proj work with diff teams.Powerlady:
Hi esteema
What are the IP classes in ACSI?
Which ones are IP GEP?
Is there Express class GEP?
Thank you.
Once in Express, there’s no such thing as GEP Express.
Class allocation quite random as MOE direction is to enable good mix of students spread across their respective course of studies and each class hv a good mix of diff race & diff schools (neigbourhood kids & other schools with so that no one class shld be dominated by same affiliation kids) for good diversity not just at ACSI but in all schools incl top schools. ACSI hv strong Policy on no bully policy (physical, verbal or emotional). They’re very watchful of kids who need support. -

Pupils who are posted to ACSI Sec One for 2019, remember to go to ACSI website to register and to download orientation pack.

Typically, girls do better in psle than boys..Powerlady:
Hi. May I know a rough number of boys who got admitted to NJC this year? Why are there more girls than boys at NJC?
Which CCA are more suited for the boys?
cca.. there will be a cca cafe trial where the kids will try out some cca before confirming their cca.
some of the sports cca my boy mentioned that his boy classmates signed up for: basketball, canoe, shooting
for performing art: guitar
6 boys in a class of 28/29 for my 2005 boy.
8 boys in a class of 25 for my 2003 boy.
Good thing about less boys is that the boys are very bonded in the class as they are surrounded by girls. they became close friends very fast.

RE: Appeal Secondary One Posting
Hi. How is appealing done by a school and why there is appealing? Can a school add on students based on appeal or it is solely based on pure vacancy created by the previous students posted to the school?
Pls advise. Thanks.
