    • RE: 2011 COP for sec schools

      kansatish:
ACSi same COP as VS IP and Express, 255 and 247 respectively.

ACSI got COP for IP? I thought they only have for Express and the IP was only through DSA?[/quote]

ACSI COP provided by MOE is for the Express batch. Who goes to IP is decided by the school. Students would be notified tomorrow during the registration! IP cut-off should be 258++...i think 255 is from wrong source! :slapshead:
Even if you ought to get into acsi IP, the MOE notification would be that you got ACSI express...only during registration would u know whether you got into IP/ Express

      Zhuge:
I have a few questions here.

      Anyone can help?
      1. How many (or in terms of percentage) students does RI and HCI take in via DSA? I heard it is 50%, is it true? This means only 50% qualify via PSLE?

      2. How many students (or in terms of percentage) does ACSI have for its IP per cohort?

      3. As ACSI offer O level as well, howcome there is no option like VS and Cedar eg VS-IP and VS-O Level?

      Thanks!
I can only answer ur last 2 questions! ^_^

ACSI has about 150-180 IP students at year 1 if im not wrong...and u cant \"choose\" acsi ip cause once you have the PSLE score to get into the school, the school will decide for you...the cut-off for IP is normally 2-3 points minus the cut-off of RI

Hi why don't you name your target sec schools here and the aunties and uncles can help you instead of asking for all the sec schools.

Thank You Snow Crystal for replying!(waiting just now)

BTW, are they strong in IT? My CCA is IT and i am pretty strong 😄

They are considered strong but if you know them, they are not that strong...I OWNED them in a competition!!! Haha... :rotflmao:

    • RE: NUSHigh or RGS

If ur inclined to the maths and science, NUShigh is better cause of the inclination and enrichment of these two subjects there…!

whereas if ur more inclined to the languages or arts side, RGS is better!

      phtthp:

if a child can get in both Crescent & Cedar - which school better, in terms of training leadership skill & character building (ignoring distance) ?

I would recommend Crescent though Cedar is better in studies.
Now, \"early-teens\" like me loved technology, so crescent have a lot of stuffs that make use of it, making their studies more interesting & they will look forward to lessons.
I thought that you should not ignore distance as i took 30 minutes to Crescent from Serangoon even VIA TAXI!!!! :yikes:
So distance is an important point, do not ignore it LOL. 🦆

BTW, is there PE clothes for Crescent? Unifroms is for only for \"non-PE lesson days\"???

Why you care abt PE attire??? No attire then maybe they just strip lor, girls' school what...nothing wrong...!
However, there would be pieces of muscle jiggling here and there and there would be many holes getting ventilated... 😂

      1 more point:
SCGS girls are generally deemed to be hotter than girls in most other schools including cresent girls' school...(general opinion of boys in boys' schools)

    • RE: Which is your preferred choice?

Y so surprised that RI have underage gamblers?

All schools would have one or two black sheeps here and there damaging the reputation of the school…

    • IB or IP? Which is better?

      With a T-score of about 260+,

you can enter both ACS(I) IP programme leading to IB
      or
      RI/HCI’s A-level programme

All 3 of the boys’ schools mentioned above have excelled in their respective examinations…
Which exam/school would you people choose if you get an aggregate of 262???
