While we emphasise with Singaporean kids who have to relocate due to their parents’ overseas work, MOE should consider the potential implications of offering DSA to foreign students. Given the relatively high turnover rate among foreign residents, they come and go pretty fast. A lot of them might leave in just a few years. It’s worth questioning whether the DSA policy is truly serving the best interests of local Singaporean students in the long run.

@Sega24 hi pardon me if I may ask. No offence meant. Just wondering. If you know there is a real possibility that you and your child are leaving Singapore, why apply for DSA and even got a CO, thereby depriving another child, fully born and bred in Singapore and likely to be living here for the entire duration of secondary school, a chance of a successful DSA?
