Or the school will be informed by MOE and auto deduct the correct school fee?

From unsuccessful DSA to PSLE to S1 posting was certainly a long journey.
I'm glad that DSA failure did not demoralized her. Instead she was even more determined to prove herself.

She (MS) has been top 3 all her years. Got her various MO awards and exempted GAT from NY DSA. But din do well at NY & MGS interviews .... unsuccessful in both. Not even WL & honestly, ego a little bruised. :oops:
Worse still, fumbled in PSLE and was posted to 2nd choice MGS. Only daddy happy & wants her to do IB & join the brother in ACSI next time. Dd fought hard & I supported her.....appealed to NY for a last chance.
Finally and fortunately, she's now happily with NY.

There must be some 'X' factor they are looking for.....

As for 'betrayal', I kinda agree with nvm. Cos I had friends who had CO from dream Sch RGS & various COs from other schs. But to-date, still cursing at NY cos nothing from NY......

Quite surprise reading so many posts 'speculating/analyzing NYGH CO/WL strategy'...and mostly focusing on Gepper...So would like to share something from MS side.

My DD and her few classmates from a neighborhood sch DSA NYGH academic this yr and as most of them are good friends and have been classmates for yrs so they know each other quite well. Most of them took GAT on same day but all took interview on different dates.

DSA result came out, only 1 got CO.
The surprise is, the cohort top 10 and even top 5, all did not get CO, not even WL.
The one with CO is not in top 10, and all does not have any significant award/achievements like MO...

Fortunately all of them took the result quite well. And they are happy for the one and only CO. They are looking forward to do their best in coming PSLE to get into their dream sch.

Maybe they are from MS, so they don't have the mentality that they will 'auto' get CO or WL even though they are top in cohort(btw their sch consistently perform well in past PSLE, even have top PSLE scorers before).

As parents, of course we are disappointed with the DSA result. We are also puzzled on NYGH selection criteria. But the more important aspect is our DD came out stronger going thru this DSA.

Hope all those DC who did not get CO will get over soon, came out stronger and do their best in PSLE. Good lucks!

I like the burger and drink theory…how I wish that is the way it works…save me a lot of white hairs…


but from what I observe…those in 3pm session have burger and drink, and not those in 5pm session…maybe its just coincident 3pm is tea break/recess time…

any parents observe this too??
