Hi parents, can I find out what is the approx percentage of P6 boys making it to SJI each year?


In SJI Junior, only 1 in 5 boys (50 kids) managed to get into SJI Sec.

Admission By PSLE Results
Entry into SJI is by merit only. Singapore students would be admitted based on their PSLE T-scores. Returning Singaporeans who would like to be admitted into Secondary 1 are advised to sit for the SPERS-Sec papers. Foreign students who would like to be admitted into Secondary 1 should have sat for the PSLE examinations and would be admitted based on their PSLE T-scores.

Unless there are exceptional circumstances, foreign students without PSLE T-scores would not be admitted into Secondary 1.

All Primary 6 boys in Singapore will sit for the Primary School Leaving Examinations (PSLE) at the end of the year. The PSLE cut-off scores for SJI for the years, 2012 - 2014, are provided in the Table below.

For students, the DSA provides them the opportunity to demonstrate a more diverse range of achievements and talents in seeking admission to secondary schools.

The S1 Posting Exercise is an annual exercise conducted by MOE to post Primary 6 pupils to a secondary school based on their PSLE results and their school choices and the vacancies available in the school. This exercise is conducted from late November to December annually.

i tried calling innova to do the transfer without going through steps programs but they say no vacancy and i called up MOE and they say schools will reserve place for student going steps program. and i get the place.

Tats mean I still can register with school directly is got vacancy, right? But after I view innova Pri profile like very popular now, so high change will be no more vacancy.
Say if I want to go by MOE, can I give them my choice of school? Will they consider?[/quote]
Innova so far always no vacancies.. my son go through ballot during p1 registration but fail.
And keep calling for vacancies but always on waiting list.

Through moe steps program, they dun allow u to choose the school.. they only post u to the nearest school. With vacancy..

U might want to try calling innova and check. And check on moe website for the steps program.. and for steps program is for transfer next yr.. so If u r transferring on 2017, then u have to wait for 2016 yr end for steps program to start.

may I know how to do transfer.
My hse in woodland ave 5 will be ready at 2017, I thinking to do the transfer on 2017 so do I need to do booking now?
