Doesn't sound evidence-based or based off the latest research. Any link to the original article?
Daily Habits Can Lead to Bad Posture
Your body will likely abandon good posture and alignment in order to find ways to accommodate muscle spasm, weakness, tension and/or imbalance between muscle groups.
This is because, in these cases, the body is forced to use alternate, but less efficient, patterns of muscle contraction and stretch. Called compensation, the body can still achieve its movement aim, but with comprised alignment.
You might understand this process as a sort of detour. If you encounter an obstacle in the road while driving, you'd probably swerve to miss it but also to keep going towards your destination. The musculoskeletal system—in tandem with the nervous system—also develops detours to allow you to complete the intended movement even though some muscles and joints may not be contributing fully or working as part of the team. -

I am here to play the devil's advocate. There's actually no research to support links between bad posture and any health issues. There's some association with depression and anxiety but the association has not been determined to be causal.
I've written extensively to debunk https://squareone.com.sg/resources/text-neck-neck-pain-chiropractor-singapore/ myths. Highly recommend you give it a read. In essence, posture is a social construct. I've included lots of studies and images as well.

RE: Flat Feet Problem

haha definitely not the most popular opinion but you are correct. It's perfectly fine to have a \"flat\" foot.
Flat feet only need treatment if they cause discomfort, indicate an underlying disorder, or lead to pain elsewhere in the body. Some people appear to have a very low arch or no arch without ever experiencing problems. When flat feet do cause symptoms, simple devices and exercises can help to minimize the discomfort.Alex75\" post_id=\"1840971\" time=\"1522644586\" user_id=\"165810:
My question is, Does flat foot need to be treated?
In cases of symptomatic, flat feet, it's also important to differentiate between a functional vs. a structural flat foot. Most people think they have flat feet but it's actually a functional flat foot. In the sense if they lift up their feet in the air, the arch appears. The arch disappears only when they put weight on it.
In cases like this, the best approach is to focus on exercises that train the intrinsic foot muscles. It delivers the best long-term symptomatic relief. -

RE: Chiropractic adjustment

Hello. I am a chiropractor and a friend recommended that I joined this forum.
Does anyone have a recommendation for this? I have heard many good friend recommendations for chiropractors but I am still wary because of the negative word floating around that many of these practitioners are not up to par when it comes to standards. Meaning they might cause more harm than good in the long term..
Either way, check out our blog post on https://squareone.com.sg/resources/chiropractic-adjustment-7-hard-truths-chiropractor-singapore/. It's controversial-ish but we provide references so you can fact check.
It is true that a lot of chiropractors in Singapore are unethical when it hows to their https://squareone.com.sg/resources/how-much-does-it-cost-to-see-a-chiropractor-in-singapore/. Same thing, we blogged about it before. We don't offer packages at our practice.
Lastly, the harm thing is more often than not exaggerated by the media or orthopaedic surgeons. We wrote an open rebuttal titled: https://squareone.com.sg/resources/six-things-orthopaedic-surgeon-of-twenty-years-experience-got-wrong-chiropractor-singapore/. Same deal, references provided so you can fact check. There are also three studies in there to show chiropractors deliver superior results to physiotherapists when it comes to spinal issues.
Do you own research
There are good and ethical chiropractors in Singapore. They're just low key, low-profile.

Yes. When carrying heavy load, our position need to be correct. Same when we sit. There are some ppl I noticed constantly sitting only at edge of seat & uduallybif u know the individual, temperament is always in a hurry & inpatient.
Over prolonged period, the neck & back bones will degenerate fast. You noticed those elderly bent 90 degrees? Very painful!
I’ve slways watch my kids & slways correct their position.
There's no research to support that bad posture is linked to back or neck pain.
In fact, research has shown that \"correct\" lifting strategies doesn't actually prevent low back pain! Crazy right?
You can check out our https://squareone.com.sg/resources/lower-back-pain-treatment-chiropractor-singapore/ blog post. It's all referenced
