Just my thoughts:
I went through the same process last year when choosing Sec 1 for my DS. Finally I chose the nicest - cleanest and the teacher briefing was good -
school nearest to my house, and I can tell you, today I am so thankful ( and my kid too), I didn’t choose a school further away.
Although I drive them to school every morning on the way to work, there are times they take the bus back themselves. And being closer saves SO…O MUCH TIME!!
Honestly, most schools are good schools, so let’s over prejudice everything…

RE: What is your breakfast?
I’ve started a new breakfast that is truly tasty and healthy.
Decided I better start getting more healthy as my weight just doesn’t seem to go down otherwise…
It’s this:
1 large spoon oatmeal
1 dried apricot - cut into tiny squares
1 spoon sunflower seeds
Throw them all into 1 mug, then just pour Low fat milk into it.
Microwave for 1 minute.
Ta dah!
Good to eat. Tastes good – even for those who don’t normally like oatmeal (like myself).
Try it!
Can eat this maybe once or twice a week, to alternate with whatever other breakfasts u are eating on other days.

RE: All About Badminton
timtamfan:
I have been having this similar issue for the past few months too. Have bought a few (some 2nd hand) to try, but mostly from Yonex. My daughter seems to like the YY Isometric Lite Pro. So far I'm coming to the conclusion that I should look at newer racquets (better technology??) as many of the older ones that I have (essentially Carbonex range) have string tension limitations. Better still, ask your DS to try some of his friends' racquets. I shop at Bras Basah 3rd floor (Ranking Sports) but I expect Queensway to be a favourite hunting ground too. Good luck.struggling:
Anyone with experience can recommend what type of racket to buy?
I don't want to spend too much as. Then first racket, but of course should be a good one. Maybe around $50 is reasonable?
Thanks. I'll look into this.
Yes, have asked my DS to try his friends' rackets to get a feel which ones/ types he likes too.
Great minds think alike?

RE: All About Badminton
My DS just got into the school badminton team. Played casually downstairs at home before this. Now the coach says he needs a better racket. The one that he has was given bought by us a few years ago just toilet the kids try out the game. The coach told us it's not 'balanced' and he should get a lighter racket

RE: Coke, Coffee, Chocolates - caffeine and kids' limits
I once let my 11 year old try my ‘teh si’. He just got an instant liking to it.
Then started pleading with me to buy it for him now and then.
BIg Regret!
Lesson learnt:
Don’t let your kids try your coffee / tea too early in life in case they start getting a liking to it… -
