      There were 500 beads in 4 jars-PQR&S.If the number of beads inP was halved,the number of beads in Q was increased by 18,the number of beads in R was tripled &the number of beads in S was decreasede by 24, the four jars would have the same number of beads .what is the difference in the number of beads between jars P &Q?

      pls help me with this problem.A box contain some 50 cent coins,some 20 cent coins & some 10 cent coins in the ratio of 3:2:1 respectively.3/4 of the 50 cent coins were taken & replaced by the same number of 10 cent coins.Then180 twenty cent coins were taken out & replaced by same number of ten cent coins.In the end,the ratio of the 50 centcoins ,twenty cent coins & ten cent coins become 3:4:17 respectively.

      (a)what is the total number of coins taken out of the box?
      (b)what is the total value of coins taken out of the box?

      There are some black and white marbles in a bag. If 20 black marbles are removed from the bag, the total number of marbles left will be 7 times the number of black marbles left. If 50 white marbles are removed from the bag, the total number of marbles left will be 5 times the number of black marbles left. How many marbles are there in the bag.

      The figure is madeup of two identical rightangled triangles,a small square & a big square.the perimeter of the shaded region is 50cm,& the total area of the two square is 254.5sqcm.
      find the total area of the two shaded right-angled triangle.

      1) Container A contains 250 red marbles and 200 blue marbles. Container B contains 600 red marbles and 150 blue marbles.How many red and blue marbles must be moved from Container A to Container B such that 25% of the marbles in Container A are red and 75% of the marbles in container B are red.

      Red : 250 + 600 = 850
      Blue : 200 + 150 = 350

      25%A + 75%B = 850 ------------- (1)
      75%A + 25%B = 350 -------------(2)

      100%A + 100%B = 1200 ------------(1) + (2)
      100%A + 300%B = 3400 -------------(1) X 4
      200%B = 3400 – 1200 = 2200
      100%B = 1100
      100%A = 100

      No. of red and blue marbles transferred from Container A to B
      = (250 + 200) – 100 = 350

      105%G+90% G+18=408
      195%G+18=408
      100%G=390/195x100=200
      200x2+20=420
      420x8=3360

      For reference, the question is as of below:

      Cinema admission tickets for children were priced at $8 each.there were 20 more than girls inthe cinema for the movie. For the second movie ,the number of boys decreased by 10% but the number of girls increased by 5%.if there were 408 children at the second movie, how much money was collected from the sales of admission ticket for the first movie?

      For Q15, the answer key did not provide any solutions. But I'm able to solve (A). The answers are (a)5:1 and (b)150

      For reference, the question is as of below:
      A librarian counted the number of adults in the library and found that 2/5 of the number of women was equal to 2 times the number of men.when another 12 men entered the library and 45 women left the library, the ratio of the number of women to the number of men became 5:2.

      (A) what was the ratio of the number of women at first to the number of men at first?give youir answer in its simplest form.

      (B)find the number of women in the library at first.

      2/5W=2 M
      1/5W=1 M

      Ans: 5:1

      However, I am too unable to solve (B). The answer I got was 105 and not 150. Thus my apologies.

      Ratio => Women : Men = 5 : 1

      At last
      Ratio => Women : Men = 5u - 45 : 1u + 12 = 5 : 2

      10u – 90 = 5u + 60
      5u = 150
      1u = 30

      No. of women at first = 5u = 5 x 30 = 150
