She's in her primary school's guzheng cca team, so we are wondering if she may dsa to the secondary via Chinese orchestra based on her cca, guzheng. Not sure if \"Chinese Orchestra\" = \"guzheng\"..
There are DSAs via Guzheng itself. these are the schools that offer Guzheng DSA:

For Guzheng or Chinese orchestral, these are the list of schools offering DSAs:

Thanks for sharing the comment. I actually read that before posting as I was a little confused. If we didn't submit any application, how would they know that we had exceeded or meet the income ceiling?
I think the CC will automatically award your kid if eligible. See here the excellent posts from https://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?p=2056799#p2056878.
Does this mean that if we didn't submit an application, the child would automatically be awarded a \"merit award\" instead of a bursary? -
RE: Edusave Scholarship Award
Hi, DD received the cert of learning achievement (from moe) early of Dec 23. As we exceed the income ceiling, we did not proceed with the application. However my friend shared with me today that we may still be awarded book voucher from CC. May i know if we need to apply for that? Or the CC will automatically award us? Thanks.

RE: Mindstretcher - Discussion
Hi, was wondering if xue hui le is good? Thinking whether to place dd there for p2 next year. Dd doesn’t have tuition currently but I’m thinking to start her for next year. It’s difficult to get a place at WLC and TH is a little far for us. Is xue hui le a good alternative? appreciate all views and advice. Thanks.

RE: Choosing and Evaluating Primary Schools
Hihi.. can i ask which website should we use to measure the distance between house to primary school? Is it https://elite.com.sg or https://www.onemap.sg/main/v2/schoolquery? There are slight difference in the result. For elite, 1-2 schools at the edge of 1km will be shown as beyond 1km.
This information is quite important and urgent for me because that 1-2 schools which are at the edge works better for us as they are nearer to my mum's place. Thanks in advance. -
RE: 2022 P1 Registration Exercise for 2023 In-take
Sorry if i sound too silly. Just want to confirm that the 30 months rule to reside at the address used for p1 registration means we must stay there from 1 July 2022 to 31 Dec 2024, correct?
Not staying there already before 1 jul 2022, right? -

RE: Choosing and Evaluating Primary Schools
Dear parents, my daughter is due for P1 registration in 2022. It’s still a while but lately I’ve been very stressed over it after hearing from friends about their children registration. May i seek your views please?
1. We stay at punggol. Within 1km from edgefield pri, punggol view pri and mee toh (requires 1 bus/lrt). Edgefield and punggol view are new but within walking distance. Mee Toh is further but most established school in punggol. Which should i go for?
2. Another headache is not sure if we should place her at my mum’s area hougang (options: xinmin pri, hougang pri and rosyth). She’s taken care of by my mum since birth. Currently after i send her to kindergarten at punggol, my mum will fetch her to hougang home. If she is studying at hougang school, it is an area she’s more familiar with and my mum can just walk her home instead of having to travel. But that would also mean morning will need to wake up much earlier (drive abt 20 mins, public transport 45 mins). And we can only register based on 1-2km using my mum’s address.
What is your views?
Appreciate if you may share your opinions as I don’t have much friends who can advise me as they don’t stay at NE hence not familiar with the schools in punggol and most of their children go to childcare. Many thanks!
