dao:
if you consider white sands, I think you still got chance, if you are singaporean within 1 km.
Even so, we do not want to risk and end of the day, cannot get into Pasir Ris or White Sand under phase 2C.
Anyway, am happy that he gotten a school which his mummy can send and pick him from Sch daily. -
RE: [Pasir Ris] Primary Schools
My DS has gotten into St Andrew’s under Phase 2A2.
However, we have mixed feeling as we live within 1km to Pasir Ris Primary and White Sands Primary but due to their popularity, I doubt Ds can get into Pasir Ris Primary, the school of our choice.

Having read through 23 pages...am I right to say that if my boy who is turning 4 next year, who is still afraid and rejects swimming lessons because of the unfamiliarity (both surroundings & the coach), his chances of swimming competitively are gone? ^^
Hi Bufferwaffles,
Take it easy. There are late boomers(e.g. Leslie Kwok- I think was one of them) who to make to national squad too.
I would say to say early is an advantage but the child's attitude plays a large part too.

Hi all, I am looking for a tennis coach for my son. Any recommendation? If possible, a group learning will be good. I am staying at Loyang Valley.

Leader? From the looks of those stats, Swimfast destroyed their rivals! :scared: Amazing accomplishment. Good job!
Hi Swimironkids,SWIMDAD:
Here are the final results of the recent Singapore National Swimming Championship held at Singapore Sports School on the 25-30th June 2013
Rank 1- Swimfast : medals 74, Points 2303
Rank 2- APSC : medals 18, Points 567
Rank 3- Chinese Swimming Class : medals 12, Points 353
Congrats everyone!!!
We are in the same profession. Nice to meet you here.
Swimfast has being leader for quite awhile. A couple of coaches and swimmers from APSC had switched over.
I was previously in Ace Swimming Club based in Raffles, about 8 years ago. Is it still around?
I meant they are the leader among the clubs. Yes ACE is still around, 2 yrs ago they were still at RI. For now, I am not sure.
SO you are swimming coach too? -

Thank you very much. Appreciated...SWIMDAD:
May I know how to read this thing?
refer MOE website (Pasir Ris):-
http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/primary-one-registration/vacancies/#pasir-ris
example:
Pasir Ris primary
Total vacancy in the school = 180
how many Places were taken up at Phase 1 ?
83
how many Places were taken up at Phase 2A(1) ?
0
hence, number of Places taken up, by both Phase 1 and Phase 2A(1)
= 83 + 0
= 83
what percentage had been taken ?
Percentage Taken up, at the end of Phase 2A(1)
= (83 / 180)
= 46.1 %
how many Remaining Vacancies left now ?
= 180 – 83
= 97
