For RI Open House, quoted from the RPA FB page (https://www.facebook.com/RafflesParentsAssociation)
Dear RPA Members, Friends and Parents,
Please note and inform all your friends with sons in Primary 6 of the Raffles Institution Open House to be held on 24 MAY 2014.
Members of the RPA will be manning the RPA Kopi Tiam. We will be at hand to share with parents of aspirant RI applicants on what it means to be an Rafflesian ( and a parent of a Rafflesian). Whilst the P6 boys will have an exciting programme hosted by students, their parents can drop by our Kopi Tiam for a free cup of coffee or tea, and ask any questions they want from a parent whose child is already a Rafflesian.
As parents , we RPA members are very grateful that admission to Raffles Institution is based on Merit, regardless of race, creed, social or family background. Students entering Secondary One come from more than 90 Primary Schools across Singapore. Rafflesians are not given priority admission because of \"feeder-school\" advantage based on religion or clan associations.
They are admitted purely because they are meritorious.
From our perspective as parents, this is invaluable as our sons enter an environment where there is rich diversity in terms of family, racial, social and economic backgrounds. Regardless of our race or social background, all students are developed to be Thinkers, Leaders and Pioneers of Character at Raffles Institution.
Do\" Like\" and \"Share\" this post with any one you know with a son in P6. Some primary schools which are feeder-schools (to Secondary Schools that give aggregate point advantage to associated students) may not always publicise RI's Open House event to their students.
But we at RPA feel that no one should be denied the chance of at least experiencing our hospitality at the Open House. Do invite them to come by for a cup of tea.
All the best to PSLE Students this year, and see you all at the Open House, registration details as follows :

hshs:That's what I worried... seems like more playing and relaxed as compared to P6 time... wonder whether what's the load like as DS doesn't really like to share what's happening...Kiasucy:So many days staying at home do nothing after this mid year exam and it is not even school holiday yet. Perhaps they could be engaged in some kind of activities like outdoor/CCA/Sabatical ... or CIP Most of them will end up playing computer game.
Yup fully agreed. I somehow find DS much more relaxed now compared to last year.
