Hi Please help me with these two problems

      1. The ratio of the number of male workers to the number of female workers in a factory is 7:3. 1/9th of the female workers are skilled workers. 1/7 th of the male workers are skilled. there is total of 168 skilled workers in the factory. How many male workers are there in the factory.

      2. Susan, Alice and Lynn had a total of $378. Alice gave susan $54 and as a result, Alice had $90 more than Lynn. the final ratio of the sum of Alice’s money to Susan’s money was 4:5. How much did susan have at first.

    • RE: Q&A - PSLE Math

thanks a million but i still have a doubt. Bryan has only $5 notes and therefore he can transfer only five dollar notes. the 550 he transfered should be 110 5 dollar notes. i am not clear about the second part of the solution.

hi can someone help me with this question

Andy had only $2 notes and Bryan had only $5 notes. the number of notes Andy had was 80% of Bryan’s notes. When Bryan gave Andy $550, the number of notes Andy had became thrice that of Bryan.

a)How many notes did Bryan have at first?
      b) How much money did Andy have in the end?
