My DS is with NCC and they are frequently required to skip lessons to attend activities outside school. He is required to attend a camp forge at NCC HQ from 8am till 5pm this Friday, effectively missing out all lessons. Does the school keep tabs or limit the number of hours/ times a student can skip lessons for CCA activities? I’m very concerned as CCA shouldn’t take priority over school work.


What do other parents feel, and what do u suggest I do?

Yea conditional promotion. other areas like conduct grade must be good, cca attendance etc. GPA requirement also +0.1.

Wasn’t the briefing held before CNY? Why was it only reported yesterday? How did the reporter get the news? An observation about Lianhe Wanbao and The New Paper is that both carry more gossip than news as compared with The Straits Times and Lianhe Zaobao… well, just a thought.

I wonder if the media was present at the meeting or if the proceedings of the meeting was recorded and presented to them?

Personally I feel this is negative publicity for the school... shouldn't air dirty linen in public.

I thought so too, and my DS has just submitted the form.
