I am pretty sure they will be well integrated after the orientation & the upcoming Malacca trip :). I am a bit worried about the trip though, as my dd is quite an extreme one-of-a-kind picky eater. I hope she can survive the trip well.

RE: Singapore Chinese Girls School (Secondary)
I guess they are just shy on the first day as the large majority comes from different school. I am surprised that the FT already initiated a chatgroup for the class and it is really active even though they still do not interact much in class. Beeps every few seconds on my dd phone.

RE: Want to ask about Kindle
Paperwhite is great. Portable (of the right size), lightweight (lighter than tablets) and more soothing to the eyes! Highly recommended…

TTBCOOL:
We had a hard time choosing NJC vs SCGS. Eventually we chose SC. Thanks to the people who had responded; I hope we'd made the right choice!
Just curious to know what is your final decision?Tanlines:
We were impressed with SC including my girl and she had been asking all her friends to apply; but now she has doubts:
1) Someone told SC girls tend to be bullies and during birthdays, girls are pressured/obliged to buy branded goods as presents for their friends.
Never hear such thing happens in my dd's class. Maybe this happens only to that particular clique which she is with.
2) She read Rui En's wiki and quoted \"She took up ballet as a co-curricular activity in Primary Five but gave up in Secondary One, citing the pressure of coming from a wrong socio-economic class as the reason\"
No comment as everyone has different experience.
Now she had the impression that \"something is wrong with SC\". Anyone care to comment soon as we have to make a choice by tommorrow. -

Very wise words and totally agree. However, how many of us in our adulthood do not succumb to this kind of pressure ourselves?
